With Burnice set for her first re-run inZenless Zone Zero, players looking to gain this powerhouse unit should know how to build her.Zenless’s 1.6 update is coming with three exciting new playable agents, the S-Ranks being Silver Soldier Anby and her squad partner Trigger. There will also be the inclusion of thefree agent Pulchra, an ex-mercenary who was recruited into the Sons of Calydon. However, Burnice may be the most popular, even if she isn’t new.

Burnice White is a Fire Anomaly agent and one of the best sub-DPS units in the game. Her ability to quickly inflict Burn and then switch off while the Burn still works makes her a great low-field time agent. Another boon of having her is how future-proof she is likely to be. The best example would be Xiangling fromGenshin Impact, who is still a top sub-DPS pick even after all these years. Her biggest weakness is that she is better in Disorder teams than pure Fire teams, though she can work well there.

Best W-Engines For Burnice

A Worthy Investment For The Best

The one tricky part about building Burnice is her engine, as she does not have great free-to-play-friendly options. Her best option by far is her signature Flamemaker Shaker. This engine does a lot that benefits Burnice, with the first part being energy regeneration while she is off-field. Second, she will gain a damage buff stack up to 10 whenever she hits an EX Special Attack or Quick Assist. This effect is doubled when she is off-field. Lastly, if she has over five stacks of this damage buff, her Anomaly Proficiency will increase.

Zenless Zone Zero: Best Evelyn Build (W-Engine, Teams & Drive Discs)

Evelyn is a field-time dominant S-Rank agent for Zenless Zone Zero and when built properly can be a top Fire DPS option with flexible teams.

Given everything this engine offers, it is far and away her best option. With her limited options,if you want to use Burnice often and far into the future, getting her signature would be worth the investment. This is feasible sinceZenlessis in a semi-down period with characters, with many being more player preference than must-pull. However, some options exist for those who have played for a while and got lucky.

Her second-best option is the battle pass Electro-Lip Gloss, which gives them flat Proficiency, along with Attack and Damage buffs when enemies have an Anomaly. Option three is Grace’s signature Fusion Compiler, giving a flat Attack buff and stacks of Anomaly Proficiency. The best free-to-play option is the Weeping Gemini, with a stat boost of 25% Attack, and Anomaly Proficiency stacks. Weeping Gemini is also the easiest to get to the max level without having to spend extra money by using the Box Galaxy store.

Best Drive Discs For Burnice

Clear-Cut Options

Luckily, building the rest of Burnice is simple. Her best Drive Disc is Chaos Jazz, which will give her a flat Anomaly Proficiency boost at two pieces. At four, Burnice will gain a 15% Fire Damage buff and added damage when she’s off-field, which will be the majority of her time.No other set works as well with her kit as Chaos Jazz does, making it the clear choice. The extra two-piece is up to your preference, but Inferno Metal is the best for extra damage. Swing Jazz is an alternative option for more Energy Regeneration.

Disk 6

Attack%

The hardest part about obtaining Burnice’s Drive Discs will be getting the right stats. She needs Anomaly Proficiency on her Disk 4,as her end goal is over 400. Disk 5 is the usual damage bonus for the agent’s specific element, so in this case, Fire. Disk 6 may look like it should be Anomaly Mastery, but Attack% will give slightly better results. Lastly, the ideal substats are Anomaly Proficiency, Attack% and then Penetration.

Best Teams For Burnice

A Flexible Sub-DPS

Burnice is extremely flexible and works with any Disorder team. Her best teams by far are with Jane Doe orMiyabi and her best builds. Both of these DPS are field-dominant units that benefit from Burnice’s lack of field time. However,Miyabi is the better option given how strong she is and how easy her rotations with Burnice are. Jane Doe is by no means a weak option, but she won’t see the same speed and efficiency.

Zenless Zone Zero: Best Jane Doe Build (W-Engine, Teams, Drive Discs)

You’ll need the best Jane Doe build in Zenless Zone Zero with the top W-Engine, Drive Discs, and teams the get the most out of this Physical Agent.

Another option is Yanagi, though this gets a little trickier. She does want as much field time as possible, buther buildup is not as fast as Miyabi or Jane. A properly built Yanagi who can utilize her EX Special Attack frequently will work but still be weaker than the strong options. However, a bonus is that both utilize the Chaos Jazz Drive Disc, making farming a simpler effort.

If you don’t have any of these three but want to use Burnice, Piper is a functional final option.Piper is very good at building up Physical damage but doesn’t do as much damage. Thus, Burnice will likely be the bigger carry of the two and utilize more field time than usual. Lastly, the two best options to fill the last role on any of these teams are Lucy orAstra Yao and her best builds.

How Zenless Zone Zero Can Avoid Honkai: Star Rail’s Power Creep

With HoYoverse games like Honkai: Star Rail running into power creep issues, Zenless Zone Zero has the time and potential to avoid such problems.

Overall, Burnice is an extremely strong Anomaly sub-DPS, and I’d recommend investing in her either for the pure enjoyment of the agent or for future use. Of all the limited agents in the game, only Astra Yao has better long-term survivability, meaning it would be hard for Burnice to be outmoded by power creep unless a character who is exactly like her with better scaling comes out. If you pull Burnice inZenless Zone Zero, you should definitely take advantage of the strength that a good build can bring out.
