What The Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Trailer Means For The Final Episodes

Will This Be The Paramount Show’s Final Outing?

Though season 5, part 2, was originally poised to serve as the show’s final outing, it has since been reported thatYellowstoneseason 6is now on the table as a possibility. It’s worth noting that, though the video’s description teases that “Generations of blood have led to this,“there’s nothing in the trailer hyping the episodes as the show’s conclusion. IfYellowstoneseason 5, part 2, was intended to serve as the end, it would surely be marketed as such, since leaning into a grand conclusion of a saga is an effective advertising tactic.

Initialreporting on a potentialYellowstoneseason 6claimed that Beth and Rip were being eyed as the central leads.

Our Take On The Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Trailer

The Show’s Upcoming Batch Of Episodes Has Some Big Questions To Answer

Due toYellowstone’s behind-the-scenes drama, Costner will not be reprising his role as John Dutton in season 5, part 2, and the trailer doesn’t totally reveal what’s next for the character. One line, however,“Old lions die in the jaws of younger lions,” could be a tease that the Dutton family patriarch’s storyline will end in death. With Costner not returning to film any new material, John’s off-screen death seems like a logical way to resolve that arc.

WithYellowstonespinoffThe Madisonalso in the works, it’s possible that the final episodes will somehow set up what’s to come in that show as well. Many questions remain regarding the next batch of episodes forYellowstone, but, thankfully, viewers now don’t have long to wait before the show returns.
