END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT!

WOLVERINE and DEADPOOL serve STRYFE as his X-CUTIONERS! This could very well be the end of human and mutant life on Earth…so what is Stryfe’s endgame?

Deadpool’s appearance inDeadpool/Wolverine#1 was quite shocking, as the anti-hero finds himself under mind control from Stryfe. Even though the second issue saw Wade snap out of it, it looks like both he and Wolverine will find themselves being controlled by Stryfe.

Deadpool & Wolverine Are Marvel’s All-New “X-Cutioners,” As They Fall Under The Sway Of Stryfe

A New Villain Era For The Iconic Duo

While Stryfe’s ultimate plan remains a mystery for now, the second issue saw him hatching a clutch of mysterious eggs, unleashing a batch of gnarly-looking dinosaur/dragon creatures on the world at large. While Deadpool was initially riding one of the creatures as it attacked Wolverine, a blast of gunfire from fellowWeapon-X survivor Maverickwas enough to snap Deadpool free from Stryfe’s control. The three were able to defeat the creatures attacking them, but the issue ended with a double-page splash of Stryfe leading a host of winged dragon creatures.

The World Isn’t Ready: Deadpool and Wolverine Are Starting Their Very Own X-Men Team

Weapon X-Men #1 launches this week as an all-new team of X-Men assembles for a high-stakes rescue mission in enemy territory that will be beyond epic.

Deadpool/Wolverine#2 also showed off an X-Cutioner suit that appears to betailor-made for Wolverine, given that the gloves had slits for Logan’s razor-sharp claws. Maverick wondered if Wolverine might be already acting underStryfe’scontrol without knowing it, sothe sight of him wearing the X-Cutioner suit alongside Deadpool on the cover forDeadpool/Wolverine#5 doesn’t bode well for either character.Further, with the solicitation for the issue teasing that the fate of all mutant and human life hangs in the balance, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Deadpool and Wolverine’s latest series.
