Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zerohas announced the first and second rounds of characters coming in its season pass. Although it already includes 181 characters from across theDragon Ballcontinuity,there are also a fewcharacters still missing fromSparking! Zero. Most of these appeared in previousBudokai Tenkaichireleases, or played prominent roles in the anime, but have yet to be transferred over into the most recent game.
Many ofthese will be added in periodic DLC releasesover the coming months. This is pretty standard fare for fighting games, which typically release new characters on a rolling basis to keep the game interesting and player counts high. Glorio & Vegeta Join Sparking! Zero
Dragon Ball DAIMA In Sparking! Zero
The second DLC update forDragon Ball: Sparking! Zerowill incldue two new characters: Glorio and Vegeta (mini), as they appear in the seriesDragon Ball DAIMA. They joinfellow cast member Goku (Mini), who was released as a pre-order bonus forSparking! Zero. In this spinoff series, created in close collaboration with late franchise creator Akira Toriyama, Gomah uses the Dragon Balls to turn Goku and his allies into children (hence Vegeta’s mini form here), hoping to prevent them from becoming a threat to the Demon World. Glorio also plays a major role in the anime, as a demon set apart from Gomah’s machinations.Dragon Ball DAIMArepresents his debut; he’s completely original to the anime.
This follows the addition of Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 fromDragon Ball Super: Super Hero, who will be contained in the first DLC pack. Characters for the third and final part of the season pass also look to be drawn fromDragon Ball DAIMA, as the series logo appears in the “To be revealed” slot for the third DLC. Each DLC pack is also said to come with “more” than the two characters that have already been revealed for each, but this likely means new stages or alternate costumesinstead of additional characters.

Unfortunately,there’s no concrete release date for any ofSparking! Zero’s character DLC at the time of writing. However, all three DLC packs are expected to be released during the first half of 2025, with the first and second coming out during the first quarter of the year, and the third in the second quarter.
