Silco was one of the most important characters inArcane, both to Jinx and to the entire undercity beneath Piltover. Out of the entirecast ofArcane, few characters have had more of a direct effect on the show than Silco. Prior to the events ofArcaneseason 1, Silco had considered himself Vander’s brother, and the two led a doomed revolution against Piltover that ended with Vander betraying Silco. Silco continued his plan to secure the undercity’s independence, this time going directly against Vander. Silco managed to kill his brother, and in the aftermath of their battle, he took Powder in as his own daughter.
Years later, Silco became a drug kingpin in the undercity and the main supplier of Shimmer, the substance that transformed its users into powerful monsters. With Jinx (formerly Powder) and Sevika, he corrupted the undercity even further and preyed upon the people Vander once protected. Even though he subjected the undercity to unprecedented suffering, Silco had a singular goal in mind: independence from Piltover. Everything he did was part of a years-long plan to break free from Piltover’s aristocracy, but Silco never got to see his goal come to fruition.

Jinx Killed Silco In Arcane’s Season 1 Finale
Jinx Thought Silco Was Going To Betray Her To Secure The Nation Of Zaun
Despite his importance to the undercity and his ability to survive, Silco died at theend ofArcaneseason 1. Silco had approached Jayce and given his list of demands to end the hostility between Piltover and the undercity. Jayce agreed, but he demanded Silco give up Jinx so she could be punished for her crimes. Jinx overheard Silco talking about the situation and kidnapped him, eventually bringing him to the same table as Vi and Caitlin to discuss whether she would continue being Jinx or go back to being Powder.Silco reached for Jinx’s gun, and during a psychotic episode, Jinx gunned him down.
Why Arcane Is Ending With Season 2
Arcane season 2 will saw the end of Jinx and Vi’s story, but was the hit Netflix series canceled, and what’s next for League of Legends stories?
After Jinx shot Silco, he revealed that he was never even considering surrendering Jinx to the Enforcers. A major part of Silco’s story was the pain he felt at Vander’s betrayal, and one of the biggest reasons he was able to manipulate Jinx was because he constantly reassured her that he would never turn on her. Evidently, he was telling the truth.Silco’s final words to Jinx, “Don’t cry. You’re perfect,” will both validate her decision to leave Powder behind and weigh on her heavily as she carries on his plan to create the nation of Zaun.

How Silco’s Death Changes Zaun
Silco Was The Architect Of Zaun & His Dream Was Carried On By Jinx & Sevika
The nation of Zaun, the name the undercity would have taken if it was granted independence from Piltover, was Silco’s brainchild. Since beforeArcaneeven started, and even before he had his falling out with Vander, Silco was working towards uniting the undercity and breaking away from Piltover’s rule. With Silco dead, however, the plan for Zaun changed significantly, and Jinx became the new figurehead for the independence movement. Sevika stepped in to fill Silco’s role logistically, and the people of the undercity went to war with Piltover to secure their independence.
Is Silco In League Of Legends? What Happens To Him?
Silco Was Never Added To League Of Legends
Despite bothArcane’s and Silco’s popularity, he was never added toLeague of Legendsas a playable champion, and he likely won’t ever be.Riot Games' Lead Producer of Champions, Ryan Mireles, better known as Reav3, confirmed that Silco would not be coming toLeague of Legendsfor two gameplay reasons(viaReddit). The first reason was his indistinct silhouette, which is important because, as a top-down MMO,League of Legendsneeds all of its characters to be instantly identifiable so that all players know what they’re up against. Silco would be hard to distinguish from other slim champions.
Though he’s not inLeague of Legends, Silco was added toTeamfight Tactics, an autobattler set in Runeterra. Silco was actually the first character added toTeamfight Tacticswho wasn’t already a champion inLeague of Legends.

The other reason Silco won’t be coming toLeague of Legendsis because of his combat abilities. Every other champion inLeague of Legendshas either unique combat abilities or a clear source of magical power. For instance, bothJayce and Vi have their Hextech weapons, which are the reason they can compete with other extremely powerful champions.Silco’s main power was manipulation, not something that would let him compete with champions like Malphite, who is essentially a rock monster. Reav3 noted that to put Silco inLeague of Legendswould require significant changes that would make the champion significantly different from hisArcanecharacter.
