Lukas Kyle Returns In Silo Season 2, Episode 4

He Meets With Judge Meadows

After being absent from episodes 1-3 ofSiloseason 2, Lukas returns when he meets withJudge Mary Meadows(Tanya Moodie). Much to Bernard’s chagrin, Judge Meadows agrees to hear Lukas' appeal regarding his sentence. She initially makes it seem as though she agrees with Lukas' sentence, and the fact that he held a red-level Relic and did not report is enough to warrant his punishment. The tone of their meeting changes when Judge Meadows asks the Judicial agents to leave the room and asks Lukas about what he thinks the lights in the sky are based on his observations.

She keeps the flame of curiosity alive in Lukas with the scientific information she revealed to him.

Judge Meadows confirms his hypothesis about the stars and Earth’s rotationbefore abruptly calling the agents back in. She reduces his sentence to five years because of his“willingness to accept responsibility.”Judge Meadows later tells Bernard that she agrees about Lukas being dangerous and that she only cut his sentence in half to make it seem like the system is fair and because she does not believe he will last more than a year in the mines anyway. At the same time, she keeps the flame of curiosity alive in Lukas with the scientific information she revealed to him.

Dust

This storyline cannot be directly adapted since the show’s version of Bernard knows about Lukas' history with Juliette and has punished him terribly for it. There is no world where Bernard or Lukas can pretend to work together. However, there is a possibility of the resourceful Lukas figuring out a way to communicate with Juliette while she is in Silo 17, which could adapt some elements of his storyline from the books.Siloseason 2 has otherwise completely deviated from Lukas' story in the source material.
