If you have a history of struggling with the dailyConnectionspuzzle, you might occasionally need a tip or trick to get you to the end of the game. Some puzzles can have challenging twists, and this one is no less so. We barely got to the end of this one with a victory, andone of the easiest categories has extra words that could be included. This can make it hard to get to the end of the puzzle with guesses to spare.

If you want to continue your time in this puzzle, you will want to pay close attention to the little details. This is always true, but it is more important today. While some of these categories are easier to guess than others,there are others that have 5-6 words that could be included. To figure out which words should go in each category, check out the hints listed below:

QUARTERBACK
SAFETY
This is one of the more challenging categories today because of the extra word(s) that make it harder to figure out. CENTER, GUARD, QUARTERBACK, SAFETY, and DEFENSE could all easily belong here, and DRIVE could as well if you werethinking about football terms instead of positions specifically. I dismissed DRIVE quickly, but the others were not as easy for me. I tried a lot of different combinations here before I finally subbed DEFENSE out for one of the others and managed to get it right.
NICKELODEON
OXYGEN
This was the first one I solved and was the easiest. I didn’t recognize any other television channels in the puzzle itself, but OXYGEN was the one that I had to think about more than the others.DISCOVERY could be confusing if you put it with the other “D” words in the last category. However, ifyou have an idea that these are all channels, you can hopefully avoid that particular pitfall and still get this category in one go. These are also all fairly well-known channels, which can also make that easier.

PENNYWISE
RONALD
There are a lot of terrifying clowns in the world, and all four of these could be the stuff of nightmares - yes, even you, RONALD. HOMEY is probably the least famous depending on your knowledge of a now quite old video game. The others have been in pop culture quite a bit,making it easy to recognize the actual category but harder to find the last word. However, HOMEY does not seem to belong anywhere else, so it is a fair guess to say it belongs here.
DIMENSIONAL
DRIVE
This last category is hard to guess if you do not know the main connection. If you do, only one other wordstarts with a “D,” which belongs fairly well in the other category. However, trying to guess how these words connect to each other without that knowledge is a lot harder, particularly with DEFENSE possibly being a football position. Once you have the other categories solved, however, this one becomes a lot more manageable, and you may finish the puzzle and get the win.
