Avengers: Endgameis almost here — and Marvel is reminding fans just how much is at stake in a nostalgic new trailer.
The preview starts with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark stuck in space giving his love Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) a speech he’s not sure she’ll ever hear after Thanos wiped out half the population.
As he talks, iconic images of Downey as Stark play in black and white, with only the red accents from his suit visible in color.

The nostalgia continues as a familiar quote from Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell) inCaptain America: Winter Soldier plays while flashbacks from every previous movie play in black and white, reminding fans of how their favorite heroes got started.
“None of us can go back,” Carter says. “All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over.”
After the bittersweet trip down memory lane, and shots of fan-favorites like Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) turning to dust, the action gets started asChris Evans‘ Captain America promises to keep fighting to get them back.
“I keep telling everybody they should move on. Some do, but not us,” he tells Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.
The two get the team back together, including the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), a confused Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, who sat outInfinity Warlast year.
“Even if there’s a small chance, we owe this to everyone who’s not in this room to try,” Black Widow says.
Then all the major characters take turns saying, “Whatever it takes” as an exciting shot sees them all in white Avengers suits and walking with a purpose towards their mission.

“I like this one,” Thor announces to the room.
Captain Marvel made her debut just last week when her standalone film rocketed to a $153 million opening weekend and over $524 million worldwide since.
As a reminder,Infinity Warfeatured a large majority of Marvel’s most popular superheroes combining all of their collective superpower strengths together to try and defeat evil Thanos (Josh Brolin). The outcome for the world was not so great but fans ate it up — the film grossed over $2 billion worldwide.
