The once Fox-owned Simpsons characters now also fall under Disney’s purview following its acquisition of the studio in 2019, which is also whyFox’s X-Men have been appearing throughout the MCU. Given the credits already signposted one big development, however, I’m convinced that using a shot from this Simpsons episode, in particular, runs deeper than Disney simply flaunting its rights.

Instead, I am sold on the theory that Lisa’s Wiccan costume was included purposefully to signify the presence of one “Wiccan” in this coven of witches.
It feels prudent for Marvel to debut Wiccan soon as its Young Avengers have started assembling and he is a founding member of the group in Marvel Comics.

The Lisa Simpson reference may be particularly niche, but I love the idea that it was specifically included to hide the truth in plain sight - thatTeen, like Lisa in this scene, is not a witch, but Wiccan.
