When Gerry and Theresa announced their divorce,they originally cited that distance was the factor keeping them apart. Gerry had just purchased his dream lake home in Indiana close to his family, and Theresa was settled with her family in New Jersey. Neither wanted to move, and I watched it cause them to become long-distance with no hope of compromise. To me, it seemed that the pair gave up too quickly, were not ready for the logistics of the marriage, and also had underlying incompatibilities that contributed to their demise.
For Joan and Chock, they went into seclusion together following their engagement whileThe Golden Bacheloretteseason 1 was airing. Once the season ended, Joan and Chock introduced their continued relationship and engagement to the masses.They’ve been busy doing the circuits of podcasts and TV interviews, as well as getting to know each other outside of seclusion and going on their first public dates.

Since Joan and Chock are the new face ofThe Goldenfranchise, they, too, may feel the compulsion to rush their relationship, which could lead to trouble.
