They say nice guys finish last, and I think Grant Ellis' turn asThe Bachelorlead might just prove that to be true, as he may not be assertive enough to find his partner on the show. Grant first appeared on Jenn Tran’sThe Bacheloretteseason, and made such an impression that, after Jenn sent him home, producers chose him to be the lead onThe Bachelorseason 29. Grant has whittled down the list of women vying for his heart to the final four: Litia Garr, Juliana Pasquarosa, Dina Lupancu, and Zoe McGrady.
While Grant says he’s had"deep connections"with many of the women, a front-runner hasn’t materialized, asGrant seems too niceto want to hurt any of the women’s feelings. While that’s admirable, in my opinion,Grant isn’t prioritizing a connectionwith a single woman. With only four women remaining, whoever gets the final rose is anyone’s guess. Grant got easily drawn into drama this year, which was a major distraction. Grant let the drama go too far, and by the time he finally eliminated villain Carolina Sofia, he hadn’t really had time to bond with the other women.

Grant Ellis Pushed Rose Sombke Away
Grant Allowed Carolina’s Drama To Overshadow Rose
Right after the season started, Grant formed a special connection with Rose Sombke. Rose quietly rose to the top of Grant’s list by being genuine with him. I thought they had a sweet vibe, and Grant seemed to be really into her. However, when she spoke up about him favoring Carolina, and he confessed that he was thinking about Rose while dancing with Carolina during a challenge, it set off a chain of events that resulted in Rose choosing to leave the show.
“I’m very interested in you. Like even today, right, you know, the whole dancing thing on stage and everything, I was thinking about you. I don’t want you to feel like I wasn’t paying attention, because I am.”

Off-screen, Rose shared Grant’s words with Carolina, which caused Carolina to tearfully confront Grant. Grant, in turn, took it out on Rose. His failure to take accountability causedRose to decide he wasn’t the onefor her after all. Grant was too concerned with his image and with Carolina’s emotions to consider Rose. Even though Rose was a front-runner,Grant let the drama drive her away.
He Keeps Telling Women He Can See A Future With Them
Grant Talks A Big Game
Grant seems to be easily influenced by whomever he’s spending time with. When he’s with Juliana, he tells her he’s falling for her. When he’s with Zoe, he tells her he could see a future with her. And so on, and so on. By this point in the season, Grant should be more decisive with his feelings, not leading all the women on.

Grant even told some of the women he eventually sent home that he was falling for them, but it feels like he was only saying that to make them happy.Grant’s wishy-washy demeanoris causing anxiety among the women, as they can’t get an accurate read on him. If Grant’s serious about finding a person to settle down and start a family with, he can’t be afraid to hurt some of their feelings. Grant needs to focus less on feeding their fantasies and more on actually getting to know them.

Will Grant Be Able To Make A Firm Decision?
It May Be Too Late In The Season For Grant
As someone who’s watched every episode this season, I assumed that Carolina would be in the final four, since Grant allowed her to monopolize so much of his time this season and cause so much chaos. Instead,Grant sent her home before hometown dates. Despite Carolina getting the villain edit, I was sorry to see her go, and it made me wonder what the point of Grant engaging with her was.
I would have bet money that Carolina would end up with the final rose, and now that she’s gone, it all feels like a waste of time. Grant hasn’t been able to explore connections with the other women, and by now, it feels like it’s too late for him to make a firm decision. I think Grant will regret sending Carolina home when he realizes he’s failed to bond with the others.
