Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocketmay soon get a competitor, as theDigimoncard game teases a planned foray into mobile gaming.Pokémon TCG Pocketlaunched about half a year ago to great success, and it seems thatDigimonis planning to follow its fellow “mon” franchise, potentially taking its cards into the virtual world.
The mobile version ofPokémon TCGearned over half a billion dollarswithin three months of its release, according toPocket Gamer, showing that fans are just as eager to collect virtual cards as they are to gather physical ones. A new teaser video shared on theDigimon TCGaccounthints at an upcoming digital version of theDigimoncard game. A special announcement is planned duringDigimonCon, which will take place on March 20 at noon JST (11 p.m. EST).

The teased mobile card game isn’t the only title thatDigimonfans can look forward to this year. Bandai Namco is alsocurrently working onDigimon Story Time Stranger, which is set to release sometime in 2025(a specific release date has not yet been announced). The monster-taming RPG will continue theDigimon Storyseries with a story that will take players through both the human and Digital worlds.
Digimon Story Time Strangerwill be available at launch on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC via Steam. While there’s no additional information about the teased upcomingDigimon Card Game,it seems that the project will likely be available on mobile devices.
