On top of that,Sam had a better grip on his feelings and was able to convey them in a way that Dean could not. This is quite different from Walker, whose main trouble is reconnecting with his family after being away for two years. Where Sam is in touch with his emotions, Walker is still trying to come to terms with his.
In this way,Walker is much more like Dean than Sam. Both men are somewhat gruff and are skilled at what they do. They have a deep-seated sense of duty, which often creates tension in their personal lives.
