“False Flag"is one of the simpler missions inStar Wars Outlaws, at least on paper. Kay Vess issent on a mission by the crime syndicateCrimson Dawn, where she must infiltrate an Imperial ship and erase the Pyke Syndicate’s debt, thereby framing them for the crime. However, during the mission, you have the option to turn on the Crimson Dawn, framing them while gaining favor with the Pykes.

Considering reputation is the most important aspect ofStar Wars Outlaws, the ending choice of the"False Flag"mission can have a huge impact on gameplaydepending on which faction you help. At the end of the mission, you have two options. You can choose to either benefit the Pyke Syndicate or the Crimson Dawn, and unlike other missions in this game, this can have a negative effect on reputation.

Choosing Crimson Dawn Over Pyke Syndicate For “False Flag” Mission In Star Wars Outlaws

Choose Depending On Current Reputation

If you choose to stick to the primary mission and frame the Pyke Syndicate, they will alert someone named Bosnok, Thorden’s prisoner on the ship and his bookkeeper. In exchange for breaking him out of his sentence, Bosnok will then wipe their debt completely. Both he and Vess will head back to alert Eleera, a member of Crimson Dawn, whocan be told about the completion of the job successfully.

Star Wars Outlaws: Should You Give Jabba The Schematics Or Keep Them?

The Jabba’s Gambit mission in Star Wars Outlaws gives Kay the seemingly tough choice of either stealing the schematics or handing them to Jabba.

From here on, Bosnok will be under Crimson Dawn’s protection. You are rewarded with 500 units for the mission’s success, as well asan increased reputationwith Crimson Dawn, and information on the bounty hunter chasing Vess down.

If your reputation is Good or Excellent with the Pyke Syndicate, it could be worth sacrificing a bit in order to be in better standing with Crimson Dawn faction.

Doing the mission this way can be hugely beneficial to boosting the reputation with Crimson Dawn. However, this move strictly depends on one’s relationship with the crime syndicates involved. If your reputation is already high with the Pykes, you may be able to suffer a hit by framing them during the mission. However, those who already have a low standing with the Syndicate may want to turn on the Crimson Dawn instead.

It’s All About Balance

By siding with the Pyke Syndicate, Bosnok will present Vess with the same request: he will delete the records of whoever she requested for his freedom. If Vess chooses to betray the Crimson Dawn and Eleera, the player will tell Bosnok to erase all of Crimson Dawn’s debt. She will then meet with Gorak and tell him everything. As a reward, the player will receive an improved reputation with the Pyke Syndicate, 500 units, and the same information about the bounty hunter after Vess.

Star Wars Outlaws' New Patch Makes The Game A Lot Easier

Ubisoft is offering Star Wars Outlaws players a better chance to overcome some of the game’s tougher stealth sections and unlock the Platinum Trophy.

Whilethis choice is highly dependent on the existing reputation of either crime syndicate, it’s important to remember that this choice will damage an existing reputation as well. Unlike other missions in this game, choosing one faction will deduct reputation from whichever syndicate was not selected, as this involves framing them for a crime.

If a reputation with either the Pyke Syndicate or Crimson Dawn can afford to take a hit inStar Wars Outlaws, allow it to be taken. Taking a hit on an already low reputation willonly add more targets to Kay Vess’sback, which is a dangerous move for our scoundrel.

The Reputation you have with the other two factions inStar Wars Outlawsis unaffected by"False Flag"when you complete it. TheMax rewards of the Crimson Dawn or Pyke Syndicate could be lost foreverdepending on the choice you make, as framing either side will significantly lower your favor with them.

You Should Side With The Pyke Syndicate

Gain Complete Cover Inside Imperial Bases

While both options have their merits,it is better to help the Pyke Syndicaterather than to follow the original instructions from the Crimson Dawn. The simple fact is that the Pyke Syndicate’s Reputation rewards are better, offering you a way to enter Imperial Bases undetected. The Imperial Disguise set from the Pyke’s Max rewards offer you complete anonymity while infiltrating Empire-controlled locations along your journey.

Whenever you lose enough reputation with a faction, many of the locations they control become restricted. Having a Poor, Bad or Terrible Reputation against the Crimson Dawn can make the game quite difficult, as many early game places are under their control.

Since you will be going into plenty of Imperial bases, this gear will help you avoid having to sneak aroundand raise danger levels against you. Unless you want to be pursued by Death Troopers, having a way to reduce the Empire’s notice of you is always a great bonus during a mission.

Betraying the Crimson Dawn does make some challenges harder, such as finding the Slicer later on. Ultimately, the decision is up to you, so if you already have a good reputation with the Crimson Dawn inStar Wars Outlaws, then perhaps you should side with them in"False Flag"to earn their Max Reputation rewards instead.
