Star Wars Outlaws Has An Oddly Refreshing Take On The Rebels

Star Wars Outlaws briefly touches on the larger scope of the galactic war and, with it, introduces a viewpoint rarely mentioned in Star Wars media.

How To Start The Mission

Finding The Back Way In

You will be directed toward the entrance by your mysterious client and have tosneak through with your less-than-stellar current relationshipwith the Pykes. Waka will give you a little hint, but as you arrive at the front entrance, you will find your way blocked.

Turn around, walk around the corner to your left, and look up. There should be a vent that you may crawl into. Follow it down, and you can drop into Pyke territory. This is themandatory stealth section where you cannot get caught. If you do, the mission will have to be restarted, and you will lose even more points with the Pyke.

Yourreputation inStar Wars Outlawsis not just a level; you can lose or gain points within a level, which might mean your next attempt is even harder.

You can fairly easily drop down here, but there isone Pyke on patrol nearby,so only move when you feel it’s safe. You will want to make your way to the ground floor, at least for a little while. Once the patrol has left the immediate area, you canmake your way down the stairs and hide behind a platformat the bottom. The patrol is now blocking the exit to the next staircase.

From there, you can sneak attack the one at the top of the stairs. Watch out for the enemies at the bottom, andsneak to the left of the stairsso you won’t be seen. There is a vent back here, but it does not do you any good currently, so don’t worry about it.

Instead, keep moving behind the boxes and into the room with the grated walls. There are a few things you can steal here, but be careful, as an enemy can notice you if you linger. Keep moving and follow the hidden path to the left of rows of boxes and concealed walls. At the end, you will see that there aretwo Pykes moving back and forth down the main hall, and another one in the direction you want to go.

Please wait for the pair to be at one end of the hall where they stop or the other and for the single enemy to have its back to you. Thenyou can sneak across the gap. There is a camera here, so you will want to send Nix to power it off.Cross the hall after it’s powered offand wait hidden for the single enemy to return.

Once they do,perform the sneak attack and keep moving. You will want to go in the direction that the enemy came from. Continue making your way up. There is another thief who does not care about your presence at the top of the stairs. Theywon’t bother youif you do not bother them.

Go past them andclimb up the wall, jumping to the yellow ledges beside it. There’s a door to use the data spike on at the top, so hack into it and you will have reached the maintenance door. From there, a vent leadsinto a maintenance chamberwhere you do not have to worry about enemies.

How To Solve The Maintenance Chamber Puzzle

Getting Into Gorak’s Base

You will first want tolower the first turbo-lift on the ground floorand pick up some credits. Head back up the ladder and jump onto the turbolift. From there, you can walk on the center platform and send Nix to activate the second lift. Climb back on it and get a running jump at the wall in front of you. This jump can be tricky, so it may not work the first time. If you want a clearer idea of this puzzle, check out the end of YouTuberZaFrostPet’s video.

Climb over to the right as far aspossiblebefore jumping onto a yellow ledge. Get into the air system, and at one fan, there will be a path to your left. You can use Nix to open the shutter and shoot the inside to stop the fan. There’s a small room with some loot; otherwise, keep heading forward. There will be more rooms to move through, but it should be a straightforward path to the Pyke Stronghold.

How To Get Into The Tower

Sneaky or Loud

At this point,Kay will say it’s okay to go loud. However, there are a lot of enemies, and you do not have a lot of abilities yet, so it is still recommended you sneak where possible.Youwill have to shut downtwo Power Cores to make it into the Tower. Between Nix’s sabotage and the vents, you’re able to get through it unseen if you choose.

You can move around to the left or right, following the stealthy long grass for guidance. It is slightly easier moving to the left, sticking to the edges on the ground level. You can do a few stealth takedowns along the way. If an alarm gets raised, it’s fairlyeasy to wait hidden in the grassuntil the alarm fades and everyone goes back to normal.

Once you get to the front of the room, you canhide behind a crate and watch the group at the entrance. SendNix inStar Wars Outlawsto trigger a detonation right next to them, and then wait for the place to settle back down. Once it does, you should be able to sneak forward into the long grass anddeal with the remaining guards near the front.

Taking them out is the easiest path forward, so use Nix to distract them andyour blaster to stun them without getting caught. Take one of their blasters if you want to, and then move up the path toward the barricaded door and go right. There’s a room you may hide in up there, and youcan use it to take down the enemy on this floorfairly quickly and quietly.

Moving past the room, if youlook down into the courtyard, you will see the first Power Core you need to hit on the base of a tower. You can use Nix to trigger a detonation, which should protect the Power Core and close enemies. Thesecond Power Core is actually on the same level as youbut on the opposite side of the barricaded door.

Head back that way, take out the enemy guarding it, and shoot the Power Core to get in the door. At this point, it will be a straightforward path to getting into the base. Once you do, you will have to get the data you came for and retreat as the alarms go off. Once you do, you may make choices that will affect yoursyndicate reputation inStar Wars Outlaws.
