Sonic X Shadow Generationsis divided into two halves: Sonic’s story and Shadow’s story. One of the enemies Sonic will have to defeat is the Egg Dragoon. Players can play astitular charactersat some point in the game and experience the game from two different points of view. Both Sonic and Shadow must go on adventures, stop baddies, and save the world.
Egg Dragoon is notorious for being a demanding boss to beat; players will need to be quick on their feet to take this foe down. Understanding his attack patterns and stats can also help. However, before going against Egg Dragoon,players must firstunlock him.
How To Unlock The Egg Dragoon Boss Fight
Complete Previous Stages And The Challenge Act
Egg Dragoon isone of the toughest bossesyou’ll face as Sonic inSonic X Shadow Generations. As such, he’s a boss that won’t be unlocked until late in the game. He’s the final boss you’ll facebefore the endgameand beforeyou take over the role of Shadow. He appears in the third area. That means you’ll need tocomplete the first two areasbefore you can move on and challenge Egg Dragoon.
Keanu Reeves Confirmed For Sonic X Shadow Generations, With One Big Caveat
Keanu Reeves is officially confirmed as the voice of Shadow in Sonic X Shadow Generations.
To complete the first two areas, you’ll need to clear out all stages and bosses leading up to that point. There are a total ofsix stagesbetween areas one and two. Once you’ve cleared those stages and have beaten the bosses, you’ll move on to the third area. Then, clear Act 1 and 2 of the third area’s stages.
A boss gate will appear, but you’ll have to go back andbeat the Challenge Actfrom each previous area before you’re able to enter. Doing so will reward you withthree boss keys, which you can use to unlock the boss gate and the Egg Dragoon fight.
Egg Dragoon Boss Stats & Attacks
Four Devastating Attacks To Avoid
Egg Dragoon has a few attacks inSonic X Shadow Generationsthat can be devastating to endure. All attacks will require you tostay moving to avoid them. you may also use your jump or wall jump to escape. His attacks include:
An ice beam or balls of ice shoot toward you.
Jump, step aside, or wall jump to avoid.
Missiles
Missiles attempt to lock onto Sonic and fire in his direction.
Be consistent in moving around to avoid them hitting you.
Walls
Walls are dropped around Sonic to trap him, then close in to try and crush him.
How To Defeat Egg Dragoon
Battle In 3D And 2D To Take Egg Dragoon Down
The Egg Dragoon boss battle comes in three phases, and sometimes, you’ll befighting him in 2D. Each phase allows us toland some attacks, but you’ll need to be quick about it, as these chances are easily missed. Luckily, Egg Dragoon onlyrequires eight hitsto beat him, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be an easy win.
During the first phase, you’ll be fighting him in 3D. He’ll launch a series of attacks in your direction,including ice beams and missiles. To avoid these attacks, simply keep moving around the arena and away from the beams and missiles. Use the ramps to jump up to the rails above the stage, then boost to reach Egg Dragoon. Jump off and launch your attack, aiming at theblue, glowing orb.
The rails have spikes, so make sure to avoid them as you’re boosting toward Egg Dragoon.
After landing an attack, Egg Dragoon switches to phase two,forcing you into a 2D mode. Jump immediately to avoid balls of ice that Egg Dragoon immediately throws at you. Walls will drop around Sonic and start closing in. Use yourwall jumpto jump out of the enclosure while avoiding ice balls and aiming another attack at Egg Dragoon.
Whether you land your hit or not, you’ll be sent into the third phase. A portal sucks Egg Dragoon and Sonic in, sending them flying through the air. Dodge anyincoming missiles. Boost your way to Egg Dragoon to hopefully land another hit.
This phase ends, and you’ll be sent back to the first phase, then into phases two and three again. Continue dodging and attacking. Land eight hits, and you’ll win the fight against Egg Dragoon inSonic X Shadow Generations.
