The Smallville Cast Have Been Wanting To Return For Years

Over the years, bothKreuk and Durance have expressed their willingness to returnto the DC property that first catapulted them into the public eye, with Durance even making a cameo appearance in 2019’sCrisis on Infinite Earthcrossover event opposite Tom Welling as Clark Kent. Our Take On Erica Durance Joining Murder In A Small Town

Kristin Kreuk’s New Mystery Series Can Only Benefit From More Smallville Connections

While the chances of an official return to Kreuk’s and Durance’sSmallvillecharactersremains uncertain, at least for the time being, the latter’s addition to the cast lineup ofMurder in a Small Townis certain tobolster interest in the Canadian mystery series. Currently having only attracted a handful of reviews since its September debut, it is clear that Kreuk’s new show lacks the instant brand recognition thatSmallvilleenjoyed in associating with Superman.

Nonetheless, the few responses that Kreuk’s show has attracted so far largely point toMurder in a Small Townbeing a pleasing, character-driven journey more reminiscent of the British approach to mystery shows. Durance’s addition as murder suspect Emma O’Brea will likely only help to continue the show as it seeks to find its footing and establish its own dedicated fanbase.
