After one of the quickest renewals,Crunchyroll’s hit action fantasy series,Shangri-La Frontier,has finally revealed its first full trailer for season 2 ahead of its Fall release. Season 2 ofShangri-La Frontieris right around the corner and the series' new trailer has finally given fans a glimpse of what’s to come in the upcoming installment, along with the new opening theme for the series.
A new full-length trailer for season 2 ofShangri-La Frontierwas recently posted to the franchise’s official X handle and YouTube channel, which features the main cast once again logging into the world of the titular VR game. The trailer also includes a glimpse at thenew opening theme for season 2 titled “Queen” which will be performed by LiSA.

The ending theme has also been revealed and is titled “Dancer in the Dark Night” performed by otoha, the composer of the opening themes of both theBocchi the Rock!series and thenewly releasedBocchi the Rock! Movie.

Besides the upbeat opening theme by LiSA, Shangri-La Frontier’s new trailer for season 2 has also surprised fans with its stunning visuals. The trailer begins with Yomuro, Rei, Amane, and Kei once again assuming their online avatars as Sanraku, Saiga-0, Arthur Pencilgon, and Oikatso, respectively, in a beautifully animated sequence. The trailer also features an appearance by Akane Akitsu and other new mysterious characters, setting the stage for a thrilling new adventure in season 2.
Season 2 ofShangri-La Frontieris expected torelease on July 09, 2025 on Crunchyrolland will run for two consecutive cours. Much like the first season, season 2 will also be animated by Studio C2C and will be directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka. All in all, the series is shaping up to be quite promising and the new trailer proves Studio C2C may just surpass expectations this time around.
