What Ryan Reynolds’ New Deadpool Photos Mean

A Christmas Project Might Be Coming

The set photo of Deadpool and Blind Al could explain why Reynolds is back as Deadpool so soon. In the background of what looks to be the duo’s apartment are Christmas decorations. The Deadpool franchise has a relationship with the holiday, asReynolds’Deadpool 2had a PG-13 version released,Once Upon a Deadpool, that had a Christmas theme and reframed the film as a bedtime story. A similar version ofDeadpool & Wolverinecould be coming later this year, but with Reynolds' Wade Wilson telling Blind Al what happened instead of a kidnapped Fred Savage.

That is not the only possibility for Reynolds' mysterious Deadpool return. Marvel Studios has done Special Presentations in the past, including a Guardians of the Galaxy one set during Christmas. The actor could be back as Wade Wilson to film new scenes for a similar Special Presentation featuring Deadpool, Blind Al, and possibly more surprise members from the Deadpool franchise. Reynolds' Deadpool return could also be related to an ad for one of his brands or something similar. Thanks to the project’s Christmas setting, the wait to find out will not be long.

Our Take On Ryan Reynolds’ New Deadpool Photos

More Reynolds As Deadpool Is Always Good

Based on the Christmas theme, I believe thatDeadpool & Wolverinecould be getting theOnce Upon a Deadpooltreatment. After all, the third Deadpool movie was at one point going to be aboutDeadpool and the gang going to the North Pole to save Christmas, as revealed toScreen Rantby Dopinder actor Karan Soni. By creating a PG-13 version of theDeadpoolfilm for Christmas, Reynolds would manage to bring back that idea and getDeadpool & Wolverineto an even bigger audience.

Deadpool

Cast

The Merc With The Mouth gets his very own film in Deadpool, an action-adventure comedy movie starring Ryan Reynolds as the titular hero. When mercenary Wade Wilson discovers he has an aggressive type of cancer that threatens to cut his life short, he decides to take a shady offer from a businessman who promises to cure him. Tortured and left for dead, the treatment makes Wade immortal - and a little bit twisted -  as he seeks out his tormentors for revenge.

Deadpool 2

The Merc With the Mouth returns in Deadpool 2, “the sequel to the first one.” Wade Wilson finds himself alone and without purpose until he reluctantly agrees to join the X-Men. Things take a turn for the strange when Wade finds himself in prison after trying to help a young mutant named Russell, and a time-traveling mutant cyborg arrives to slay Russell to save the future. Determined to save Russell and do the right thing, Wade creates a new team of heroes to fight back and save the world the only way Deadpool knows how - as ridiculously as possible.

Deadpool & Wolverine

A follow-up to the highly successful Deadpool and Deadpool 2 films starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
