Big Brother 26has ended the BB A.I. Arena twist, so outgoing Head of Household (HOH) Quinn Martin should be able to play in the week 8 HOH competition. Quinn’s second HOH reign of the season went terribly wrong, as one of his closest allies, Joseph Rodriguez, was evicted after he named him as the replacement nominee. Quinn’s first HOH happened in week 4 when he activated his Deepfake HOH upgrade power, and it also resulted in the eviction of one of his allies, Cedric Hodges.
In theBig Brother 26pre-jury phase of the game, the BB A.I. Arena twist required the HOH to nominate three houseguests for eviction instead of the usual two. The houseguests who remained on the chopping block on eviction night competed for safety in the BB A.I. Arena competition. The two houseguests who lost the competition would then be up for eviction. Now that the game has reset as the jury phase begins, Quinn should be allowed to play in the HOH competition.

Quinn Martin Made Bold Moves As HOH Under Impression The BB A.I. Arena Would Still Exist
It’s Unfair For Quinn To Have No Chance For Safety
As HOH, Quinn made some bold moves, including nominating one of his own Visionaries alliance members, Kimo Apaka, having no indication that the BB A.I. Arena would be discontinued. He was visibly shaken when Ainsley made the announcement during the live eviction episode.Quinn might’ve thought twice about his nominees and actions as HOH if he knew that the BB A.I. Arena twist was ending. All three of his original nominees, Kimo, Angela Murray, and Rubina Bernabe, are still in the house, so he’s definitely in danger.

Quinn was under the impressionthat if one of his nominees retaliated against him the following week and nominated him, then he’d have two chances to save himself: the Power of Veto and the BB A.I. Arena. This is no longer the case. Therefore,Quinn should be able to play for HOH as a substitute for the possible safety of the BB A.I. Arena competition. The HOH competition would give him that second chance.

Quinn Could Now Be Backdoored
The BB A.I. Arena Prevented Backdooring
Sometimes inBig Brother, the HOH uses the strategy of backdooring a competitor in order to more easily evict them.Backdooring is when an HOH doesn’t initially nominate their target, and they don’t get picked to play for the Power of Veto. Then, the HOH removes one of their nominees, nominates their target in their place, and sends them home without giving them the chance to fight for themselves.
Backdooring used to be easier when the Power of Veto players were chosen by the HOH and the nominees. In more recent seasons, the random draw has made it a bit harder, buttheBig Brother 26A.I. Arena competitionmade it impossible because the replacement nominee always had the chance to save themselves. As the outgoing HOH unable to play for safety,Quinn is like a sitting duck. He’d be the perfect target to backdoor now that the arena is gone because he’s such a strong player. However, Quinn should have the chance to keep himself safe now that the game has reset.

Big Brother 26 Has Reset So Everyone Should Be Able To Play For HOH
It’s Like A Whole New Game
Now thatBig Brother 26has reset with the conclusion of the BB A.I. Arena, it’s like a whole new game. Strategies will have to shift because winning safety in the arena is no longer possible. In the past, due to twists, outgoing HOHs were able to compete for the power for a second week in a row. Quinn was even able to compete for HOH again after his Deepfake HOH earlier in the season because it was supposed to be a secret, even though he didn’t keep it, so he definitely should have that privilege in week 8.
The Big Brother 26 A.I. Arena Competition Should Be Permanent (Janelle Pierzina Thinks So Too)
The Big Brother 26 A.I. Arena competition has changed the game completely, and Janelle Pierzina is right that it should be a permanent fixture.
It’s only fair that Quinn should be able to playfor HOH again after such a game-changing twist. The BB A.I. Arena competition was a safety net for the players, and, without it, Quinn could be in great danger of going home. Because he was HOH when the competition still existed, he made decisions that might’ve been different if he’d known that it would be discontinued.Big Brother 26should do the right thing and allow Quinn to play in the next HOH competition.

Big Brother 26airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
