According to DC Studios' James Gunn, two ofPeacemaker’sbiggest stars have concluded filming their scenes forthe series' second season. In a post onThreads, Gunn wrote: “And that’s a Peacemaker Season Two wrap on [John Cena and Jennifer Holland], who both turned in wonderful performances this season as Christopher Smith and Emilia Harcourt.“Cena, of course, plays the title character, while Holland plays a straight-laced ARGUS agent who works under Amanda Waller(Viola Davis). Other cast members for season 2 include Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Sol Rodriguez, Tim Meadows, and Frank Grillo.
Aside from praising his stars, Gunn also discussed overall progress on season 2. ThePeacemakershowrunner added: “To top it off, shooting yesterday was one of the most fun days of shooting I have EVER had! Thanks to the incredible people of Savannah, Georgia for making the Peacemaker crew’s stay here so special. ONE DAY LEFT!”
For her part, Holland also discussed finishing up on season 2 ofPeacemaker. The actress, who is married to Gunn, wrote onThreads: “That’s a wrap for me on Peacemaker season 2. What an incredible journey. I’m filled with gratitude for our dream cast and dedicated crew, the story that [Gunn] wrote for us to bring to life, and all of the beautiful moments and memories that I get to take with me forever.” She further stated that she is excited for audiences to see more of Harcourt and how she “is a beautiful, tortured soul.”

Currently,the second season ofPeacemakeris set to hit Max in August of 2025. Gunn’s recent comments regarding his hit show more or less confirm the project is on track to return soon.
Additionally, the majority of the first season’s cast will be back, something fans undoubtedly appreciate.Joel Kinnaman is rumored to return in this season as Rick Flag, Jr., who Peacemaker murdered inThe Suicide Squad,largely because Grillo will be portraying Rick Flag, Sr. in the DCU.
