Oshi no Ko Celebrates Oshi Day in Style

Fortunately for fans outside Japan who may be unable to call the numbers but are still curious about the messages,Oshi no Kohasposted each character’s message on Xas well asOshi no Ko’s YouTube channel. Much like the post states, each minute-long message consists of the character thanking the caller for supporting them, complete with each character’s unique mannerisms. Aqua’s message in particular is characteristically stiff and roughly translates to:

Hello, thank you for calling. Today is November 4 which is Oshi Day. I would like to leave a message for everyone who has always supported me. Supporting and cheering for someone is not easy and takes a lot of energy. I am still inexperienced as an actor, but I would like to thank everyone who has been watching and supporting me. Thanks to everyone’s support, I have been able to experience many new things since I became a high school student such as TV dramas, romantic reality shows, and the Tokyo Blade stage play. Although I don’t know if I will appear in the next production, I will continue to do my best so that I get the chance to be in front of you. When that happens, I’d be happy if you could watch me then. Thank you so much for calling.

What Exactly is Oshi Day?

Like the title of the anime suggests, “oshi” means “to recommend” or “to support” and is often used to refer to idols and celebrities that one likes and supports or, in simple words, someone that one is a fan of. As such, Oshi Day, which is held on November 4 of every year, celebrates people who like to support and show their love for their favorite idols, characters, and celebrities. The commemorative day was established back in 2019 and has since been officially registered by the Japan Anniversary Association.

Summer 2024 Officially Has A Best Action Anime… & It’s Not One Fans Would Expect

Despite its drama-based storytelling, Oshi no Ko season 2 became summer 2024’s best action-based anime, and there are a lot of reasons why.

Overall,Oshi no Konever misses an opportunity to celebrate Oshi Day every year with beautiful new illustrations. That said, this year’s celebration is by far the most creative and involves fans in the festivities much more than ever before.
