My Hero Academiaseason 7, Episode #17is set to be an exciting one, as two new forces have made their presence known on the battlefield. The heroes are at a point where they can use all the help they can get, with Toga’s Twice doubles running wild across all the battlefields and causing absolute chaos that could’ve brought UA crashing to the ground.
Episode #16 saw the dramatic return of Gentle Criminal and La Brava, as well as Lady Nagant, taking up a sniper post from the distant roof of the central hospital.La Brava put a stop to Skeptic’s hacking attack, while simultaneously empowering Gentle with her love, giving him the strength needed to catch UA using one of his air trampolines and keep the flying battlefield from crashing and killing everyone aboard. Kurogiri’s chaos caused Aizawa to be removed from the situation, leaving Shigaraki able to use his Quirks, but Lady Nagant shot off his hand before he could use Decay.

What Happened in My Hero Academia, Season 7, Episode #16?
Former Villains Come to the Rescue
The episode began with the Gunga Villa battleground, where both Toga and Dabi suddenly arrived thanks to Kurogiri’s warp portals. Toga immediately began to flood the area with Twice clones, stunning Hawks, as he had gone to great lengths to ensure she couldn’t find any of his blood and do precisely this. All for One was predictably pleased with this turn of events, and things are looking extremely bad for the heroes, who are now even more outnumbered than they already were.
Kurogiri’s warp portals removed Aizawafrom the UA battlefield, freeing up Shigaraki to use his Quirks, and began flooding UA with Twice doubles as well. The Twice doubles added an immense amount of weight to UA, making it impossible to stay afloat, especially combined with Skeptic hacking in. However, thanks to the timely arrival of Gentle, the aerial battlefield was caught before it could contact the ground. La Brava put a stop to Skeptic’s hacking, while he was arrested by Ketsubutsu students and other heroes. Finally, Lady Nagant fired an impressive shot, taking out Shigaraki’s hand from miles away.

The Heroes Begin to Rally
Episode #17 ofMy Hero Academiaseason 7 is entitled “Hopes.” With these former villains coming to their aid, the situation has managed to avoid becoming the darkest it possibly could have. Despite the injuries that Nagant has managed to inflict on Shigaraki, his regenerative abilities will continue to make him a major threat, especially now that he’s able to use his Quirks once again. Since the initial plan has fallen apart, it will be up to Deku and Deku alone to decide what to do next, as he takes full responsibility for the battle against Shigaraki.
The episode is likely to backtrack a little bit and reveal exactly how Lady Nagant got into position to help Deku, and the state that she’s currently in, given she’s still in the hospital recovering from the self-destruct injuries All for One caused her. Gentle, meanwhile, will be left to hold UA up in the air until La Brava is able to undo the damage that Skeptic did and get UA’s flight systems active once again. It’s a tall order, even with La Brava’s love empowering him, but the fate of the flying battlefield and all aboard it rests solely in his hands.
With so much going on in so many different places, it can be a bit difficult to get a sense of how the overall battle for the fate of Japan is going. Things aren’t looking good, butthe assistance of Nagant and Gentlemay help turn the tide back. There’s certainly a lot at stake at the moment, and the next episode ofMy Hero Academiacan’t come soon enough.
