Marvel Comics has finally debuted the reinvigorated version ofVenom,featuring a fresh golden redesign and a new host bonding with the alien symbiote.In the aftermath of the mega-crossover eventVenom War, Marvel’s main Venom mantle is getting a major makeover outside the Brock family. TheAll-New Venomongoing series will officially reveal which established character becomes the titular symbiote-powered hero under the shiny new bright-gold look.
The preview forAll-New Venom#1 – written by Al Ewing, with art by Carlos Gómez – continues to tease the secret identity mystery of the new symbiote host. WhenMarvel announced a new version of Venomthat would be introduced, it put forth four major suspects as to who could be the next host, and none of them have been ruled out yet.

Here, the redesigned Venom makes a bold debut to take down the A.I.M. agents. As the solid gold symbiote host is still unknown, there’s no telling just how lethal this new protector will be.

Venom has gone through multiple hosts, but not many redesigns. That’s about to change, as the new mystery host is turning the symbiote gold.
In the preview forAll-New Venom#1, all four characters are conveniently out of sight as the gold-suited Venom makes their first appearance. Though he’d be a cool and powerful host,a future version of Luke Cageand his Ultimate Universe counterpart should be heavily featured in the comics soon, so the new role might be overkill for the character. With Madame Masque’s villain status, Venom could return to their harder antihero roots with her as the new host. Robbie Robertson and Rick Jones are perhaps the most likely candidates, but no option is completely off the table just yet.
