Warning: contains spoilers for X-Men #10The Krakoan Era of theX-Menintroduced readers to the iconic Hellions team, stars of thecritically acclaimedHellionsseries, but the gang of misfit mutants has not operated since well before the fall of Krakoa. Thankfully, inX-Men#10, a new team of ragtag Hellions is introduced, with fan-favoriteFantomex, Locus, Boom Boom, and the Bedlam Brothersforming Cyclops' newest heroic squad, dedicated to taking on threats to mutantkind.
The KrakoanHellions were a dysfunctional teamof some of mutantkind’s “biggest troublemakers,” put together in an attempt to control their wild behavior, while thenew Hellions team is much more effective and instead filled with B and C-List heroeswho haven’t been heavily featured in recent years.

X-Men#10, from writer Jed Mackay with art by Netho Diaz and Sean Parsons, sees Cyclops’new Hellions team disrupting and destroying various O.N.E. sites across the United Statesin response to the agency launching an attack on theX-Men’s Factory basein Alaska.
Who Are The Rebellious New Hellions?
They’re explosive, violent, and efficient
The new Hellions team debut is a complete surprise to readers, with X-Men leader Cyclops keeping his strike force close to his vest, strategically using King Bedlam and the Hellions to target O.N.E. sites without notice. Two members of the Hellions are quite well-known and popular, the bioengineered assassin Fantomex, and the incendiary party girl Boom Boom. Fantomex is a complex and fascinating hero, artificially evolved in the time-displaced World by the Weapon Plus Program, who is a hyper-skilled marksman with a cybernetic brain and an external nervous system called E.V.A. Boom Boom, a former member of X-Factor, X-Force, and the X-Terminators, can control concussive “time bombs,” choosing to set them off at a given time.
An X-Men’s New Powers Are Way Too Inappropriate For The Movies
An X-Men hero just unleashed some of the most inappropriate powers in Marvel history, turning a part of her body into a surprising, hilarious weapon.
There are three members of the new post-Krakoa Hellions team that are most likely less known to casual X-Men fans, the teleporting Locus and the no-nonsense Bedlam Brothers. Locus, a former member of Reignfire’s Mutant Liberation Front from the 90s, is capable of low-level flight but, more importantly, is a powerful teleporter able to teleport her, others, and objects to any location she or they have been before. Chris and Jesse Aaronson debuted during the epic 90s alternate reality eventAge of Apocalypse, working as part of Apocalypse’s Elite Mutant team. While they both have been seen on Earth-616 since then, they have not been major characters. The older brother Chris, who goes by King Bedlam, is able to cause intense mental confusion in enemies, while his young brother Jesse has electrokinetic abilities.

Hopefully, The Hellions Are Sent On More Missions
Cyclops always has plans within plans
The leader of the new Hellions is King Bedlam, and apparently he is leading this strike force team for Cyclops in exchange for the X-Men delivering him a “very specific head.” The X-Men are about to enter into the X-Manhunt event, and are constantly struggling against various factions of evil mutants and oppressive humans, soit would make sense that this is not the last time we see the Hellions. Hopefully, the team of fierce mutants will continue to help the cause, without getting a favor in return, because mutantkind needs warriors now more than ever.
Marvel Announces New Mega-Crossover That Will Put the X-Men and the World’s Most Dangerous Mutant Center Stage
The X-Men’s next epic crossover event sees Charles Xavier escaping from prison in X-Manhunt, as the former leader reckons with his tarnished legacy.
One way or another, theX-Menalways find a way to form a new time of epic Hellions, and the newest team led by King Bedlam has already made a huge splash in the pages of Marvel Comics.
