Who is Galacta?
The Daughter of Galactus, Explained
Galacta made her first appearance inMarvel Assistant-Sized Spectacular#2, but that was less of a standalone story and more of a contest in the form of an anthology book, where Marvel editors were testing new characters to see which one was the most popular among them - and Galacta won. As a result, Galacta got her own one-shot comic calledGalacta: Daughter of Galactusby Adam Warren and Hector Sevilla Lujan, which is where fans really got to know the daughter of Galactus.
It’s revealed that Galacta is a product of Galactus’ ability to asexually reproduce, though the nature of her existence is far from the most interesting thing about her. Unlike her father, Galacta is a pacifistic ‘vegetarian’ who refuses to consume entire planets and civilizations. Instead,Galacta eats microscopic alien infections found on Earth. Not only does Galacta save lives by doing this, but she also makes sure to have no negative impact on Earth, consuming only harmful entities that don’t belong there.
