Manifestcreator Jeff Rake provides an update on a potential spinoff series. After airing for three seasons on NBC,Manifestwas canceled, leaving many mysteries and the fates of the Flight 828 passengers seemingly unresolved. Between becoming a streaming hit on Netflix and a strong fan campaign to save the series, Netflix stepped in to save the show, bringing it back for an extended season 4 that served as the final season andending toManifest’s story.
On X/Twitter,Rakeconfirms that he and his creative partners are still working on developing a Manifest spinoff serieswhile also clarifying that no official greenlight has been given yet. Check out Rake’s post below:

The update was fittingly shared on August 28, a reference to the Flight 828 that forever changed the lives of Ben Stone (Josh Dallas), Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh), Saanvi Bahl (Parveen Kaur), and many otherManifestcharacters. This update confirms that the development of a spinoff series is still in progress despite not being officially greenlit.
What Could A Manifest Spinoff Series Be About?
A Spinoff Could Explore More Than One Timeline
Prior toManifest’s cancelation, Rake shared that he had a six-season plan for the series. This plan was unable to be fully realized due to the cancelation and Netflix only reviving the series for one final season, but a spinoff could explore some of the planned storylines that had to be cut. SinceManifestended with a timeline reset and only the Flight 828 passengers retaining their memories of the series' events, some of the previously planned storylines could be incorporated into the new timeline.
It would be fascinating to see a character experiencing the Callings centuries earlier, along with revealing what ultimately happened to Al-Zuras, and providing more insight into some of the series' unanswered questions.

Another possibility is to shift the focus away fromManifest’s main charactersand instead focus on further expanding the series' universe. InManifestseason 2, Ben, Michaela, Olive Stone (Luna Blaise), and TJ (Garrett Wareing) learned about a 16th century explorer named Al-Zuras who also experienced the Callings and saw what he described as a silver dragon, which in actuality was Flight 828.Al-Zuras' journal unlocked some ofManifest’s key mysteries, but the explorer was largely forgotten after that, until later being connected to major pieces of the series' endgame.
Manifest’s Ending Proves That Forgetting Al-Zuras Was A Mistake
A major twist in the Manifest season 4 part 2 finale proves that the Flight 828 passengers forgetting all about Al-Zuras was a huge mistake.
AManifestspinoffcould take place during the 16th century, featuring Al-Zuras as the main character. It would be fascinating to see a character experiencing the Callings centuries earlier, along withrevealing what ultimately happened to Al-Zuras, and providing more insight into some of the series' unanswered questions. Regardless of whether theManifestspinoff series focuses on familiar characters in the reset timeline, on Al-Zuras centuries earlier, or another premise entirely, the show’s revival and Netflix success indicates that there is still interest in seeing the story continue.
