Short answer: No. Long answer… Well, Steam makes it possible if you’re willing to play an even harder version of the game.

Dota 2 is a game based on micro-mechanics that makes it one of the hardest MOBA to master. This genre was, for a long time, considered only playable with a mouse and keyboard as controllers. However, after League of Legend’s successful mobile port, called Wild Rift, players wondered if there would be a Dota 2 Mobile version too.

Now, there are a lot of mobile MOBA games out there. But all of them are closer to LoL than Dota. As of today, Valve has no plans of releasing a mobile spin-off for their game. Despite that, there’s still a way to play Dota 2 as a mobile version; and it’s all thanks to the now discontinuedSteam Controllerand the Steam Link.

How to play Dota 2 on your phone?

Can’t believe you want to do this for real.The first thing you need is the Steam Link app, you can find it forAndroidoriOS. Pair it with your PC, and remember this is a hard game with a lot of information on the screen. Thus, you may want to pair a controller too. Make sure your controller is compatible with your phone via Bluetooth.

But if you area complete psycoplaying the mobile version of Dota 2 using the touch controllers, don’t forget to add the wheel that will let you move. Also, add every extra controller you may, as all of them will cover different aspects of the game.

Let’s be honest, this Dota 2 Mobile version is not ready for smartphones. It’s already uncomfortable to play on the Steam Deck itself, the intended console for this version.
