New Natlan map areas inGenshin Impacthave leaked and I’m convinced that the final hidden zone is actually the most important in the Nation of Pyro. The first few zones of Natlan were introduced to HoYoverse’s action RPG with Version 5.0. Within it, players gained access to Tequemecan Valley, Basin of Unnumbered Flames, Coatepec Mountain, and Toyac Springs. These zones represent a large portion of the Nation of Pyro, thoughNatlan’s map size inGenshin Impactis expected to increase in future updates as the story therein progresses further. Version 5.1 will not add new areas to Natlan.

Additionally, Version 5.2 will not feature new Archon Quests in the Nation of Pyro, which could mean yet another update without expanding Natlan. However, HoYoverse has already confirmed that Natlan will get larger in the future, as has been the case with every other Nation of Teyvat. The first few map updates for Natlan should occur in Version 5.3 and onward, though the developer has yet to confirm this. However, there have been leaks about the upcoming content. It seems that Natlan will expand significantly, with two or three new areas already visible in speculative map designs inGenshin Impact.

New Natlan Map Areas In Genshin Impact Have Leaked

Four New Zones Are Expected To Be Added In Future Updates

A few new map areas from Natlan have allegedly leaked, as showcased by UTeyvat. The information and speculative map design were shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” onReddit. The leak highlights three new areas in Natlan. One of them seems to be an expansion to the west of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame in what looks like another basin-like zone. North of that and northwest of Huitztli Hill is the second leaked zone in Natlan’s map, which seems like an archipelago-shaped zone reaching south into the continent area inGenshin Impact’s Nation of Pyro.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Mavuika Is Making Me Hopeful For The Game’s Future, Four Years Later

There have been new leaks about Mavuika’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.3, and they sound extremely promising, even if four years late.

The third and final Natlan map area that has been leaked is a massive zone west of the People of the Springs subarea. The region seems to have a harsh topography with what seems like huge cliffs and mountains. These three leaked areas may be the first part of the Natlan map expansion in upcoming patches, as they are the ones with a rumored design attributed to them. However, the leak also highlights what may be a fourth map area in Natlan.

This third zone with the increased topography activity may be Natlan’s volcano inGenshin Impact, which can currently be seen toward the southwest.

The leak by UTeyvat shows a red circle highlighting a portion of water north from the third rumored upcoming area in Natlan, further west from the Basin of Unnumbered Flames. The leak says that Natlan will not be as small as represented in the speculative map design and that another area should be incorporated where the red circle highlights the image. While there is no design information related to what may be added there, I’m convinced I know what area it will be, andit is likely one of Natlan’s most important zonesinGenshin Impact’s lore.

Natlan’s Speculated Map Area In Genshin Impact May Be Mare Jivari

Mare Jivari’s Release Could Have Heavy Lore Implications

One of Natlan’s most important regions that has not yet been leaked is Mare Jivari. This is a zone that is highly mentioned across several lore pieces in the game.Mare Jivari is known for its harsh environment and intense heat. In fact, the description of Mare Jivari indicates that it is not a habitable place, and those who enter it are doomed to never be seen again. Even the legendary Natlan warrior once known as Lavawalker disappeared completely once they enteredMare Jivari inGenshin Impact. This is not to say it cannot be entered completely.

Genshin Impact 5.2 Leaks: New Nightsoul Trials Are Going To Take Your Skills To The Limit

Two new Nightsoul Trials for Genshin Impact 5.2 have leaked, and based on the challenges’ requirements, they may be the toughest in the game so far.

Rumors are that Bennett, the 4-star Pyro support character from Mondstadt, was actually first found inside Natlan’s Mare Jivari by an old adventurer. The adventurer did not have the opportunity to tell Bennett’s story because he succumbed to injuries he sustained – which is believed to be a consequence of his venture through Mare Jivari. There are several in-game hints that indicate Bennett is not only from Natlan but Mare Jivari itself. This location is highly mentioned in the game but it could make an appearance as Natlan’s mapinGenshin Impactcontinues to expand.

The circled region in UTeyvat’s speculative leak could very well be the harsh Mare Jivari. It is uncertain how such a hostile place will be explorable by the Traveler since other legends of Teyvat actively avoid it, but it could make for immense lore revelations. If Mare Jivari is added to the playable map, players could be in for a treat when it comes to Natlan’s history, which could explain how the area became so inhospitable. Currently, the circled area in the leak seems like one of the most probable areas for Mare Jivari to be placed inGenshin Impact.

Mare Jivari Could Be In Another Part Of Genshin Impact’s Natlan Map

Another Speculative Post Indicates Mare Jivari May Be Closer To Sumeru

While the fourth circled zone by UTeyvat may seem like the best guess for Mare Jivari, the harsh location may not be there, exactly. Speculation by the leaker known as Jelena, which was posted onReddit, shows that the circled area may actually be an island, which would not match Mare Jivari’s description. In fact, in the comment section, there are references to a western island, which may be what Jelena is speculating. However,a part of Jelena’s speculation seems to indicate there is one more zone being added to Natlanin futureGenshin Impactupdates.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Mavuika May Have The Most Broken Mount In Natlan

Mavuika’s gameplay kit has leaked and, with it, the mount she uses in Genshin Impact – and it may be broken compared to the other mounts so far.

In the leak, it seems like the area north of Tequemecan Valley will expand into a desert-like zone. This, instead, could very well be Mare Jivari. In fact, the desert-like landscape presented in the speculation seems to match what Mare Jivari is best known for. Based on the speculative map design, it also seems like the area will somehow connect to Sumeru’s Great Red Sand, which would help explain why the region has such a harsh climate.

Genshin Impact’s Mavuika opens her arms wide open and smiles as a sparkle effect forms behind her.

For now, all of this is merely speculative. However, considering the impact that Mare Jivari has on the game’s lore, it seems unlikely that it will not be added at all in Natlan’s playable map, despite how terrible its environment is. With heavy implications to the lore, I’m certain Mare Jivari is bound to be added to Natlan sooner or later, either to the western circled area by UTeyvat or northeast, as speculated by Jelena’s leak inGenshin Impact.
