The Biggest Moment In The War Arc Yet
The chapter starts with Balsamilco’s mission to use the biological gas, TSK-17, and his strategizing on how to attack Halkenburg. However, he sees one of Benjamin’s guards, Vict, who he assumed was dead. This shook him, and as the two were communicating using sign language, Halekenburg sneaked up behind him and shot his Nen arrow at him. Benjamin finds out the trial is postponed, and after connecting the dots after he hears a rumbling, he surmises that Balsamilco was attacked with the arrow and was possibly being manipulated. He told him that he shouldn’t come back until he killed Halkenburg to assess if he really was under the influence of someone else.
Kaiser continued to deliver the letters to each Prince, and the letter to Benjamin revealed thatHalkenburg was actually Queen Unma’s son,making him his brother. This shook up Benjamin, and Kaiser deduced the high possibility of an impending martial law. Meanwhile, Melody and Kacho decide they’ll kick off their plans to kill Luzurus the next night. Back in Oito’s room, Kurapika decides that he’ll reveal the contents of Woble’s letter to the attendees of the Nen training session, as he sees it as an opportunity to prolong the stalemate.
Zhang-Lei continues his investigation into the coins, and while he recognizes a pattern and clue intohis Nen Beast, he’s stumped and decides to call room 1014 to ask for Kurapika’s help. Elsewhere, Kaiser investigates Halkenburg’s supporters and hones in on one of them, Wario. After revealing the use of Nen in the war, Wario tells him that Halkenburg is about to die, under the directives of the prince himself. The chapter ends with Balsamilco telling Benjamin he has completed his mission. However,it is Halkenburg who is possessing Balsamilco’s body.

This is a major development in the arc, as Halkenburg is very close to infiltrating Benjamin’s faction and killing him, which would change the trajectory of the entire arc. Furthermore, there is a lot unknown about Halkenburg’s ability, such as if he can return to his body or if he can access the host’s memory, and if he can do both, it might make him the scariest contestant yet, having the perfect power for assassination in a war where discreet murder is emphasized.
Kurapika has been thrust into the spotlight again, with the new plot using the new information he received from Melody having the chance to further steer the course of the war. Zhang-Lei is also seeking Kurapika’s help yet again, and he is close to figuring out his Nen Beast’s ability, another incident that will be important. A little detail in the chapter, though, was Tsseriednich’s complete isolation into training, which will make his eventual return to the war very chaotic and tense.
Hunter X Hunter’s new chapter has made huge strides in advancing the plot of the war between the Princes, with the conflict between two of the favorites to win being one of the biggest highlights so far. The next chapter could be the most explosive one yet, and all eyes are on Halkenburg, who is honed in on the throne.
