Custom armor can be unlocked inWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2to change your character’s appearance with new colors and accessories. Sets of armor from different Astartes Chapters each have unique looks to represent the massive lore of theWarhammeruniverse. By playing different in-game modes, you can gain additional customization options to create an aesthetic that appeals most to you.
Among the available custom armors in the base game, several new sets and pieces are being added in the upcomingSeason Pass inSpace Marine 2. More Astartes Chapter colors have been announced to give you more visual changes for your Space Marine. Once you can change your armor, these new looks will eventually be part of your options when you purchase the Season Pass.

How To Unlock Armor Customization
Complete The First Mission And Select A Game Mode
Before you may customize your Space Marine’s armor, you must firstcomplete the introduction mission called"Rain of Terror.“This tutorial teaches you the basic mechanics ofSpace Marine 2’s gameplay, taking you to the Battle Barge hub when finished. From the Battle Barge,go to the Landing Bay areato interact with a computer terminal that oversees the hangar to access the in-game menu.
You can skip the introductory mission of the game by pausing the action and selecting an option that takes you straight to the Battle Barge.

Another terminal at the Command Bridge can open this menu as well, bringing up the Campaign, Operations, and Eternal War tabs. The Campaign is the main story, which you can tackle with friends or on your own. Operations in the multiplayer PvE mode, while Eternal War is the online PvP mode that pits you against rival human players in battles against other Space Marines.

While eachWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 class is incredibly fun, not all of them can survive high difficulty operations.
When you select a mode, you will be taken to another hub area where you cantravel to a place named the Armouring Hall. A Techpriest in this place located between the Dataslate Repository and Landing Bay can help youselect your class inSpace Marine 2. This helpful ally can also bring up the menu selected from the bottom of the screen to change your armor and customize it however you please.

How To Change Your Armor
Select Your Favorite Chapter And Set
Custom armor isdivided into Astartes Chapter colors and Armour Setsthat change what pieces your Space Marine does or does not have. Chapter colors represent different factions of the infamous Marines, ranging from classic blue and gold Ultramarines to the deadly crimson Blood Angels. There are plenty of archetype Chapters to choose from, but this is not where customization ends.
You havefour custom armor slotsat the bottom of the Astartes Chapter tab to create your pattern of colors for each section of your Space Marine. The more Chapters you have unlocked, the more palettes you have access to for additional customization. The Heraldry Editor can be accessed to edit specific pieces of armor in your set, to a very detailed degree with any colors you have at your disposal.

Similarly, Armour Sets are selected through the same Armouring Hall tab you used to change your Chapter theme. Each Chapter has a unique collection of Armour sets with extra adornments, from winged shoulder attachments to larger crests on your suit. Many of these sets and Chapters are initially locked as you startSpace Marine 2, so you will have only a few options at first.

How To Unlock More Custom Armor
Spend Requisition Points And Play Various Modes
Some Armour Sets and Astartes Chapters are unlocked byplaying matches in Operations or Eternal Warthrough online multiplayer. While some are also unlocked duringoffline play ofSpace Marine 2during the Campaign, these are only a select few by comparison. Winning PvP matches or completing PvE missions will earn you much more customization gear at a faster rate.
Additional custom armor options for the enemy Chaos Marines are also available for you to unlock, but are only usable within the Eternal War PvP mode.

You canpurchase Chapters in the Astartes Heraldry, a shop where youspend Requisition Pointsto buy items tied to Space Marine sub-factions. However, each Chapter you may want has several items you have to buy to unlock the entire Chapter collection. You have to buy the first item on the left-most side of a Chapter, then purchase everything else to the right from top to bottom to unlock it.

Every custom armor Chapter bought through the Heraldry will be available for all modes and all classes in the game. Whether you are playing through a mission or challenging human opponents, you’re able to show off your custom Marine. These aesthetic changes are purely cosmetic, meaning that any custom armor you unlock inWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2will not affect any aspects of gameplay.
