Although the Paramount Network previously announced thatYellowstoneseason 5 would be the show’s last, reports claim that a sixth season with Beth, Rip, and Kayce is in the works. However, neither the network nor Taylor Sheridan has confirmed these rumors.

Yellowstone Season 5, Episode 12’s Dutton Ranch Latest Death Explained
Yet another character died in Yellowstone season 5, part 2 in “Counting Coup,” following in the footsteps of John Dutton’s and Sarah Atwood’s demises.
Yellowstoneseason 5, episode 12 featured the deathof Colby, one of the original ranch hands. Carter had been cornered by an untamed horse, and when Colby helped Carter escape, the animal fatally kicked and stomped on Colby. As for what fans can expect to see in theYellowstonefinale, executive producer and director Christina Alexandra Voros teased howthe previous episodes have been setting up the last one.Voros toldThe Hollywood Reporter:
“I think [every Yellowstone character] is trying to take steps to feel proactive and trying to tread water to stay afloat. But there are hints of the approaches that need to be taken to find justice, to save the family legacy and to protect the land. All those things are happening at once, but I think we haven’t yet gotten to glimpse what the path is as a whole. You see everyone reaching to try to do what they can to make sense of things, but I think you will feel in the end of the season those things capitulating and coming together to reveal the path forward.”
Kayce actor Luke Grimes also previewed the end ofYellowstonewhile speaking withTVLine. While he didn’t give much away regarding the story, Grimes revealed that he was a “mess” while reading the series finale script. He explained, “It’s beautiful. It’s profound.
