The characters listed for this gift are Guinaifen, Hanya, Tingyun, and Hook. Guinaifen is a Fire Nihility character, while Hanya is a Physical unit on the Path of the Harmony. Tingyun is a 4-star Lightning character on the Path of the Harmony, too, and is considered one of the best supports in the game. Lastly, Hook is a Fire Destructioncharacter inHonkai: Star Rail.
Honkai Star Rail: All Amphoreus Characters Revealed So Far (Chrysos Heirs)
Several new characters from Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail have been officially revealed by developer HoYoverse ahead of the destination’s release.
This is not the first time HoYoverse has offered a free character for players to pick.In Version 2.1, players were gifted with a free 4-star character selector, too, which allowed them to pick between Gallagher, Misha, Xueyi, Hanya, Guinaifen, Luka, Lynx, and Yukong. Now, in Version 2.7, players get a free 5-star character among those that are available in the standard loot pool, such as Welt, Bronya, Gepard, Bailu, andHimeko inHonkai: Star Rail. Although free characters are always welcome, regardless of their rarity, the leaked selection for Version 3.0 is somewhat problematic.

If the leak is true, the characters offered by the free character selector in Version 3.0 are extremely outdated and poor in comparison to more current units. Guinaifen is an excellent Fire debuffer that works well alongside Acheron, for instance, but the team comps she fits into are a lot more limited. He is a nearly indispensable ally in team comps led by Feixiao and works wonders along with the healer Lingsha, for example. Even Lynx, who has already been given out several times, would make for a good character to run in the leaked free character selector inHonkai: Star Rail3.0.
Overall, the game needs to increase its pool of 4-star characters, too, as a lot of the ones that are currently available feel extremely outdated – beyond the ones that are overpowered by 5-star equivalents. For now, the leak should be considered with caution, as it may be incorrect or incomplete. Furthermore, the characters in the selector are still subject to change during the tests, so there is a chance the free reward will improve upon its official release inHonkai: Star Rail3.0.
