One appreciated feature inHello Kitty Island Adventurethat many cozy games often leave out is the ability to fast travel. While listening to the little pattering of feet in Animal Crossing adds to the overall relaxing experience,Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s map is simply too large for walking exclusively to be anything more than an inconvenience.

For this reason, you will be able to find a surprisingly large number of mailboxes scattered around the map, which may be used as fast travel points, but only after being introduced to Cinnamoroll andactivating each fast travel mailbox individually. Once activated, you can fast-travel at any point, straight from the map.

How To Unlock Fast Travel In Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Befriend Kuromi & Complete The Delivery Service Quest With Cinnamoroll

The quest to unlock fast travel is one of the first interactions with the notable Sanrio character, Cinnamoroll. To find Cinnamoroll, you will first need tounlock the Spooky Swamp by completing the “Power Up The Gate” questwith Chococat and finding all the Yellow Crystals. Once inside Spooky Swamp, head to the northern end of the area tofind Kuromi and give her My Melody’s welcoming gift, which should be enough to level up her friendship and unlock the “Delivery Service” quest.

Can You Transfer Save Data From Hello Kitty Island Adventure? (Cross-Save Explained)

While the console release of Hello Kitty Island Adventure has been long awaited by fans of the franchise, there is one downside for mobile players.

As for the quest itself,Kuromi will have you follow her to the first mailbox, near her Witch’s hut in the Spooky Swamp, and remark about how strange the object is. Following that encounter, she will ask you to deliver something back to My Melody. After you become Kuromi and My Melody’s personal mail carrier for a bit, Cinnamoroll will appear and offer to assist you with delivering the mail and proceed to lead you to a mailbox outside My Melody’s gift shop.

Cinnamoroll will explain that they can be used to fast-travel, but only after being activated. Once you’ve returned to Kuromi with the returned gift and activated both mailboxes, the quest will be complete, and you are free to begin unlocking any other mailbox you find.

All Seaside Resort Mailbox Locations

There Are Six Mailboxes In Seaside Resort

As stated, there are several mailboxes located around the island and in separate areas that come later in the game, all ofwhich can only be activated after initially discovering them. Once activated, you can view all the fast-travel mailboxes via wing icons on the map, where you can simply select one to fast-travel to it.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Developer Talks “Major Innovations On The Horizon” For The Cozy Game

Hello Kitty Island Adventure developer Chelsea Howe discusses the new ports of the title, how it’s evolved since launch, and big future plans.

While it might be a bit tedious, it’s worth dedicating time to tracking down all the ones you can find to save time later while completing quests. All the Seaside Resort Mailbox locations can be seen in the table below:

In a circle, an animal player laughs with Kuromi, to the right Cinnamoroll flies through the air, the island backdrop is behind them.

Location

Resort Plaza

This is the mailbox you find near the center of all the shops. It is right between where Pochacco typically stands and My Melody’s gift shop.

Resort Gate

This fast-travel mailbox is located slightly east of Chococat and his crafting station, next to the gate leading to the Spooky Swamp.

Resort Docks

This mailbox is south of all the shops and on the dock with Badtz-Maru.

Cozy Islands

This mailbox can be found north of the main resort area. Follow the bridge to the left of My Melody’s gift shop until you reach an island with two cabins on it. Directly behind this small island are a few smaller islands, one of which has a mailbox on it.

Hopscotch Islands

For this mailbox, follow the sand path between Hello Kitty’s Bakery and Tuxedosam’s clothing shop until you reach the end. From there, use your balloons to glide onto the islands to the west until you reach the largest one. Here, you will find a puzzle entrance and, atop it, a mailbox.

Moon Island

This one is perhaps the easiest to spot. Open the map and look for the island between the main resort and Mount Hothead to the west. It is shaped like a crescent moon, and a mailbox is located at the eastern end of the moon’s shape.

While this isn’t the recommended method for locating mailboxes, you can kind of see the mailboxes on the map if you zoom in enough. So, if you want to try to track them down yourself, this is an option you could try.

All Spooky Swamp Mailbox Locations

There Are Three Mailboxes In The Spooky Swamp

Spooky Swamp is much smaller than the Seaside Resort, so there are only three mailboxes to find here, and they’re mainly focused on creating easy access for yourself and the two residents that reside here. All Spooky Swamp Mailbox locations can be found in the table below:

Spooky Swamp

This mailbox should already be activated, as it is the one Kuromi first shows you. It is activated during theDelivery Servicequest. It can be found next to the large fountain near Kuromi’s Witch Hut.

Nature Preserve

This mailbox is located at the southeast end of the Spooky Swamp area, right outside the Nature Preserve.

Ghost Tour Ride

This mailbox is in the northwest of the Spooky Swamp. When riding the Ghost Tour Ride, it is the farthest left point that the roller coaster tracks reach, near where the broken wooden path leads to Gemstone Mountain.

Since one of the mailboxes in this area is activated as part of a quest, it should be fairly easy to unlock the other two as soon as you can.

All Rainbow Reef Mailbox Locations

There Are Four Mailboxes In Rainbow Reef

While Seaside Resort includes all the islands in the large patch of water at the center of the map, it does not include the mailboxes actually in the water.

“If I Was Thinking About That, I’d Be Paralyzed” - Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s Composer On Pleasing Fans

The composer for Hello Kitty Island Adventure discusses the creative process and challenges behind designing the game’s varied soundscapes.

Comedy Club

This mailbox is right outside Hangyodon’s comedy club. Even if you haven’t met him, you should be able to see his location on your map, as you have a welcome gift for him.

Kelp Maze

This mailbox can be found slightly south of the dock, coming off the bottom of Gemstone Mountain. Simply dive right off the deck and keep going towards the resort and down until you see the tall kelp, where the mailbox will be in the top right corner in map view.

Sunken Ship

When looking at the map, you should see a sunken pirate ship near Mount Hothead and Gemstone Mountain. Dive behind the back part of the boat to find a mailbox on the ocean floor.

Heart of the Island

A Hello Kitty Animal Crossing character in front of a couple indoor spaces decorated with Hello Kitty-themed items.

This mailbox is quest-locked, so don’t waste time looking for it. You won’t find it. When it is time, you will be led directly to it.

The associated quest for the Heart of the Island mailbox is “Friendship Never Fades,“specifically the second part of this quest series. To initiate this quest, you will need to have reached level seven friendship with Big Challenges and completed any other prerequisites on the quest tracker.

All Gemstone Mountain Mailbox Locations

There Are Three Mailboxes In Gemstone Mountain

Despite the size of Gemstone Mountain, there are only three fast-travel mailboxes in the area. Thankfully, they are similar to Spooky Swamp in that they are spaced evenly along the area to make them convenient.

Animal Crossing’s Hello Kitty Collab Was A Wasted Opportunity

Animal Crossing: New Leaf showed players the potential of amiibo collaborations with Hello Kitty, but Nintendo failed to follow-up when it mattered.

Additionally, another area’s mailbox somewhat overlaps this area and makes up for the small number of fast travel points here. The three Gemstone Mountain mailbox locations can be found in the table below:

Merry Meadow mailbox locations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Gemstone Town

The first mailbox is located in the center of Gemstone Mountain, where nearly all the paths in the area convene. If you need a map marker, look for the pond directly in the center of the area; the mailbox is directly north of it.

Oasis

The second mailbox is directly east of Pompompurin but on a ledge above him. So, the best way to reach it is to follow the path that leads directly west from the previous mailbox, and you will eventually reach this one.

Gemstone Corral

From the Oasis mailbox, follow the path leading Northeast and then make the first left you come across, right before you reach the broken and covered mine tracks. After taking a left, you should enter a small area where you’ll see a mailbox to the left.

This area can be annoying to traverse without getting lost since everything looks so similar, sotry to stick to the designated paths. All the mailboxes in this area are along an official route.

Cloud island mailbox locations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

There Are Four Mailboxes In Mount Hothead

Mount Hothead will probably be one of the last places you explore that is part of the main map. While it is easy to reach, once you have the flippers for swimming, it isa nightmare to try to climb unless you have increased staminaor other perks from some of theresidents ofHello Kitty Island Adventure.

Mount Hothead

If you approach the mountain using the deck coming off the base near the crescent-shaped island, simply go up one level, and you will be right in front of the mailbox, where you will also find Retsuko.

Hot Springs

The Hot Springs mailbox is found between Mount Hothead and Gemstone Mountain. There, you will find two waterfalls with a mailbox near the pond that they both descend into.

Upper Ruins Entrance

This is Mount Hothead’s mid-level mailbox location. Two platforms are found up from where the Mount Hothead one is, and if you don’t find it before completing the “Enraging Ruins” quest, you will be led here during that quest.

Caldera

This mailbox is at the very peak of the volcano, right outside the entrance that leads inside. It is practically impossible to reach without extra stamina.

Extra stamina, which is necessary for most of the mailboxes located on Mount Hothead, can be earned by collectingStamina Apple Slices inHello Kitty Island Adventure. Some can be found in chests around the island in hard-to-reach places as a reward for accomplishing it, while the majority are given as a reward at certain friendship levels. You need five of them to craft a Stamina Apple and increase their Stamina Wheel.

All Icy Peak Mailbox Locations

There Are Three Mailboxes In Icy Peak

Icy Peak is a small area with only three mailbox locations. One is technically in Gemstone Mountain, even though the map does not separate it that way.

Icy Peak Entrance

This mailbox is in the upper right corner of the map. You should be able to see little bits of ice or snow around it, which is the entrance to the actual Icy Peak.

Icy Peak

This mailbox is the only one in the actual Icy Peak area and is at the very top.

Blizzard Peak

This mailbox is quest-locked, and you will be led to it upon the completion of the “Mountain Hopes” quest.

This area is quest-locked, so you cannot reach the second mailbox until unlocking the area.

All Merry Meadow Mailbox Locations

There Are Six Mailboxes In Merry Meadow

Merry Meadow is another separate area that is quest-locked. Therefore, you will not be able to reach this area until you have made sufficient progress and completed the “Curious Caverns” quest.

Merry Meadows Fields

Nearly impossible to miss as it is directly outside the entrance you come through to reach Merry Meadow.

Merry Meadows Plaza

This mailbox is on the second level of Merry Meadow, which can only be reached by creating a beanstalk with a Giant Seed. It is located in the middle of the three cabins on this level.

Merry Meadows Overlook

This mailbox is on the third level of Merry Meadow, which also requires a Giant Seed and Beanstalk to reach. On the map, it appears as if it is on top of a tree stump.

Meadows Creation Station

This mailbox is on the fourth level of Merry Meadow. To reach this mailbox, you must descend from the Meadows Temple, on the right, by the second puzzle door. This mailbox is quest-locked to the “A Place To Art” quest.

Meadows Temple

This mailbox is on the fourth level of Merry Meadow. Two bridges lead to the Meadows Temple, and the bottom left one leads to this mailbox.

Meadows Gazebo

This mailbox is on the fifth level of Merry Meadow. This mailbox is quest-locked and can only be accessed after unlocking the Meadows Creation Station and using another Giant Seed.

This is also where you can formally unlock gardening and meet Wish Me Mell, the flower expert.

All Cloud Island Mailbox Locations

There Are Four Mailboxes On Cloud Island

To unlock this area, you first need tocomplete the “Stargazing"quest, which comes after A Challenging Rescue and Hello Kitty’s level 17 friendship quest, Baker’s Assistant.

Cloud Island Plaza

In the main area of Cloud Island, where Kiki operates the Stardust Store.

Cloud Island Ponds

North of the main area is a section with small fishing ponds. This mailbox is in that section of Cloud Island.

Cloud Island Critter Corral

This mailbox can be found right outside the Critter Corral, where you donate Critters on Cloud Island.

Outer Cloud Cabin

This mailbox is located on Cloud Island’se furthest eastern part, near one of the visitor cabins.

Cloud Island is one of the first expanded areas that came toHello Kitty Island Adventureas part of an update revolving around theLittle Twin Stars, Kiki, and Lala.

All City Town Mailbox Locations

There Are Six Mailboxes In City Town

City Town is one of the more recent updates toHello Kitty Island Adventureand the only area that is not part of the Friendship Island grouping. Instead, it is part of a new segment called Imagination Island, which is a modern city complete with buildings, sewers, shops, and more. Thus, it is the most unique additional biome inHello Kitty Island Adventureyet.

Unfortunately, City Town is not currently available on the Nintendo Switch orPC version ofHello Kitty Island Adventure. However, it is anticipated that it will be added later as paid DLC, presumably once Imagination Island is complete.

To unlock this area, you will need to complete the “Ship Shape” quest, which is only unlocked after completing several quests and reaching at least level 7 friendships with several characters on the island.

City Center

This mailbox is found along the main road of City Town, where the Imagination Café and Rainbow Tower are located.

City Critter Park

This mailbox can be found in Critter Park, where you go to donate to Critters in City Center.

City Rooftop

This mailbox is located on the upper level of City Town. You must use the pipes on the sides of buildings to reach it.

Main Sewer

This mailbox can be found beside the main entrance of the sewers, just inside.

Lower Sewer

This mailbox is in the lower levels of the sewer. The area can be challenging to navigate, but for this one, look for Seaweed.

Upper Sewer

This mailbox can be found on the upper levels, one area over from where the City Key can be found.

AsHello Kitty Island Adventurecontinues to receive updates, there’s no doubt that there will eventually be more unique maps to come. When looking for Fast Travel Locations, the easiest thing to do is find them all as soon as possible to make exploring the area easier and look at obvious central points, as that’s where they’re most likely to be.
