Missing You Official Poster

It’s a feel thing. I just finished filming a series called Lazarus with Bill Nighy and Sam Claflin [due later this year on Amazon Prime Video]. That was an original idea. I thought, “I could write this as a novel, but I’m seeing it as a TV series.” It’s a little more of a ghost story, very visual.

Our Take On Lazarus

It Could Be A Very Distinct Coben Show

It’s unclear if filming forLazarushas wrapped entirely, but if so, it would put thenext Harlan Coben showin post-production, which means that fans will likely be able to watch it some time around fall or winter this year. Coben’s description ofLazarusbeing a visual ghost story seemsto hint at the upcoming series' resemblance toDexter, which revolves around a forensic analyst working with his sister at the Miami Metro Police while talking to his father (who’s visualized in the series as a figment of his imagination) about his dark tendencies.

With the series being original, there’s no book to reference, but the novelist has offered some clues as to whatLazarusis about. In a previous interview, the author revealed that the series is a tale about loss and redemption, and it delves into the key bond between a parent and their kid, which stretches even beyond death. Compared toMissing YouandFool Me Once, which were more traditional mysteries,Lazarushas the potential to be a very unique kind of Coben show.
