The short run ofFortniteChapter 2 Remix is already almost at an end, but there is stillplenty for players to do before the finale event starts and downtime begins for Chapter 6. Similar to last year’s release of Chapter 4 Season OG, Epic Games has started to end each year ofFortniteseasons with a throwback. This year, Chapter 2 got its time to shine, though only for a month. With the season so abridged, there has been very limited time for players to finish their Battle Passes and spend time on the Chapter 2 map.
While there’s always a lot to do before the start of a newFortniteseason, this becomes especially true right before the beginning of a new chapter. Nearly everything will be different, both from what players have come to expect during Chapter 5 and from this shorter interim Remix season. EveryFortniteplayer will likely have a different checklist of personal priorities to complete before downtime begins, but there area few key things all fans might want to try to wrap up before Chapter 2 Remix is gone for good.

When Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Remix Ends
The Deadline Is Approaching Fast
Downtime for the end ofFortniteChapter 2 Remix is officially scheduled to begin at10 p.m. ET on June 09, 2025. Matchmaking is usually disabled 30 minutes before servers shut down. This is significantly earlier than most typical ends of seasons, so players will want to make sure to note this particular deadline.
Fortnite’s Return To Classic Seasons Highlights An Uncertain Future For Free-To-Play Shooters
Fortnite’s return to its OG map and classic seasons might give fans the nostalgia they’re hoping for, but it might indicate a declining future
Not much is currently known aboutFortniteChapter 6 Season 1, calledHunters, but it isscheduled to begin on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This could change, however, if Epic encounters technical difficulties. Teasers fromFortnite’ssocial media pages suggest the season will include aspects of Japanese history and mythology and will involve collaborations with Godzilla and Baymax from Disney’sBig Hero Six.

Everything You Should Complete
Start By Finishing The Battle Pass
Finishing the Battle Pass is the most important thing forFortniteplayers to do before the conclusion of Chapter 2 Remix, as the season was incredibly short with limited opportunities to earn XP outside regular gameplay. The Battle Pass is also abridged, with players needing to reach Level 50 tounlock the Shadow Meowdas outfitand complete the regular Battle Pass, and Level 70 to unlock all bonus rewards, including Super Styles.
Apart from playing regular matches and earning XP that way, there are a few other things players should try to do in the remaining days of Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, including:

Fortnite’sQuests are the fastest and most efficient way to earn XP, so prioritize those in the last days of the season, then try other methods to supplement those. Completing Weekly Quests is also the only way tounlock the Dynamo TNTina outfit and cosmetic rewards, so those should be completed first.
Attend The In-Game Concert And Claim The Free Juice Wrld Skin
Fortnitefans should plan to log in forRemix: The Finale, a concert on the Battle Royale Island, on August 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET, or for the later, planned encore performance. This event will feature music from Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD, and will include a new single from Snoop Dogg, “Another Part Of Me (feat. Sting)” and a new Juice WRLD track, “Empty Out Your Pockets.”
TheSlayer Juice WRLD outfit, a special, cel-shaded skin to honor the late rapper Juice WRLD, and a matching pickaxe, back bling, and loading screen, is available now until the very last day of the season, during theFortniteChapter 2 Remix: The Finale event. Players canclaim it by logging in at any time between 9 a.m. ET on November 25 and 10 p.m. ET on November 30. It will become available to use the next time they log in. After that, it will only be available for purchase via the Item Shop.

A second Juice WRLD outfit, including two Jam Tracks, the WRLD Keys Keytar, 999 Wrap, and Studded Skull Back Bling will be available in the Item Shop for 2,600 V-Bucks as part of the WRLD Takeover Bundle starting June 02, 2025, at 7 p.m. ET.
Everything Else
FortniteChapter 2 Remix brought a lot of fun new weapons, powerful new and returning NPCs, and nostalgic POIs that didn’t stay very long. Players should make a point of seeing and doing everything they want to before the end, as much is likely to change whenFortniteChapter 6 officially begins. The table below includes everything else they may want to fit into the last few matches of this short, OG-style season.
Why
Try Different Weapons
Many favorite nostalgic weapons and items, like Decoys and Impulse Grenades, will likely get vaulted when Chapter 2 Remix ends. Learning to play with different weapons and items may help ease the transition when the loot pools change during Chapter 6.
Visit Favorite POIs
TheFortnitemap looks entirely different from Chapter 5 right now, as this throwback season brought back nostalgic locations from the Chapter 2 map. These are unlikely to stay when things change for Chapter 6. Make sure to land at your favorite Named Locations and Landmarks a few more times before they’re gone for good.
Drive Speedboats and Fly Choppers

It is currently uncertain what kinds of vehicles and mobility items will appear inFortniteChapter 6. For players who have not taken the opportunity to try these returning favorites, it’s worth taking each for a little spin before the season ends in case they are vaulted again for different options.
Rank up in Fortnite Ranked
Ranks will reset to startFortniteChapter 6 fresh, so if you’re looking to earn the last few rewards, be sure to grind a few more ranks before downtime begins.
Try Fortnite Reload
Especially if you’ve done all you care to do in Remix, or if you haven’t played much Reload lately, consider trying this game mode to practice with a different loot pool and experience the Reload map at least a few times on the off chance it changes to start Chapter 6.
Hire the NPC Bosses and Try Out Boss Mythics
The NPC bosses inFortniteChapter 2 Remix all have fairly good kits and incredibly powerful, fun, gimmicky Mythic weapons that are worth getting your hands on at least once before they’re likely to be vaulted. In particular, the Eminem Minigun is worth fighting through Spaghetti Grotto to try just once, as its gimmick in particular is clever and worth a laugh.
