There is no question thatDeadpool’s healing factor stands alone in Marvel Canon, even compared to Wolverine, whose healing powers have rivaled his for years. Simply out, the near-instant andat-times disgustingways his body is able to rebuild itself has made him one of the deadliest antiheroes in the Marvel universe. However, one story set in an alternate timeline showed Deadpool at his most extreme with a wild redesign that evolved his powers into full-blown shapeshifting.

InPunisher: Spaceby Frank Tieri and Mark Texeira, Frank Castle comes face-to-face with a band of villains hired by the 6 Fingered Hand to kill him. Among this group are Sabretooth with a ferocious and feral-looking design, as well as The Leader with a sci-fi update to his big-brained appearance. However, the most interesting of the group is Deadpool, whose silver suit gives him the ability to mold his body to create weapons, and even generate additional limbs.

Deadpool as He Appears in Space: Punisher with a Silver Suit and Guns Formed Out of His Hands

This is by far the deadliest version of Deadpool’s healing factor, as it pushes his body to the limit to aid in his contract killing career by altering his body to turn him into a weapon himself.

When taking a glance at Deadpool’s redesign inPunisher: Space, it’s easy to see why he was chosen by the 6 Fingered Hand to hunt down the Punisher. He already has an extensive background as a killer, hunting down bounties while being virtually unkillable. This new suit ultimately upgrades his power to unlock new potential in hisnearly-unbeatable healing factor. After all, it’s now capable of turning Deadpool into a weapon himself, making his abilities go beyond restoring his human body. The only problem is that he has one major weakness: he still breaks apart easily.

Deadpool Just Unlocked the Ultimate Form of His Healing Factor, Making Him Truly Unstoppable

Deadpool’s healing factor has always been powerful, but Marvel’s latest upgrade makes it seemingly unbeatable - no matter how hard Wolverine tries.

In the midst of his fight with Punisher, a genetically mutated variant of the Hulk aides in the fight, much to Deadpool’s surprise. He threatens the green giant with a third arm he manifests from his chest, only for his head to be ripped off and thrown into the vacuum of space. Deadpool has been shown in the past to be easy to tear apart by stronger heroes and villains. The fact that this flaw remains shows that he’s not invulnerable, adding a major caveat to his redesign.

Deadpool’s Extreme Redesign Turns Him Into a Deadlier Version ofTerminator 2’s T-1000

Deadpool Would Make a More Ruthless Terminator Than the T-1000

By far the coolest thing about Deadpool’s redesign is how much it may remind fans ofthe infamous villain from James Cameron’sT2: Judgment Day. Both Deadpool and the T-1000 are capable of molding their bodies into weaponry and making them nearly indestructible. However, where Deadpool differs from the violent android is his ability to actually craft firearms from his body. This is something the T-1000 was incapable of doing as he could only craft blades and stabbing weapons. This ultimately places Deadpool above theTerminatorvillain as he’s able to distance himself from his targets, rather than relying on what’s around him to benefit his ranged combat potential.

Overall,Punisher: Space’s take on Deadpool and his healing factor is by far one of the most creative uses of his power. It not only stretches what his healing factor can do, but also gives it some much-needed potential to turn the tides of battle. Sure, it’s not without its flaws asDeadpoolstill has the same weakness he’s always had, but this is still undeniably one of his most extreme redesigns that transformed his healing factor for the best.
