Carsten Norgaard as Gunther and Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso in Cobra Kai

Liam Crowley:The fight choreography is such a huge part of Cobra Kai and the greater Karate Kid universe. How much pressure did you guys feel to deliver some really iconic fights in this final season?

Hayden Schlossberg:Well, the pressure comes from the amount of time that we have. We have a tremendous fight choreographer and stunt coordinator that we’ve built a relationship with over the years, so we know that we could always rely on them. But it’s always a challenge because each season we try to take things to a next level, and this is the final season, and we just threw a lot of wild, crazy fighting into these last episodes and Ken Barefield and Don Lee just knocked it out of the park for us and we couldn’t be happier.

What Schlossberg’s Statement Means For Cobra Kai Season 6’s Final Fights

The Series Will End With Plenty Of Memorable Moments

Cobra Kaiseason 6’s storyis still focused on the major karate tournament that will round out the series, meaning there’s still plenty of battles to go as teams continue facing off against one another. Whileit’s unclear if Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny (William Zabka) can take Miyagi-Do to victory, they’re second chance after Tiger Strike was disqualified means they still have a chance. But Kwon’s death is still going to be an important facet of the final episodes, too, shaking up the tournament as tragedy hangs over what remains.

Schlossberg’s statement teases plenty of impressive fight sequences without giving anything away, the exact nature of what’s to come still shrouded in mystery. However,it will probably involve Kreese’s (Martin Kove) Cobra Kai, the two teams moving onto the Tournament of Champions indicative that they’ll likely be the last two standing. As for story implications, it’s unclear how it will end, nor if it will somehow set the stage for theupcomingKarate Kid: Legends, which is expected to have some nods to the TV series.
