Sato and Chozen were both introduced inThe Karate Kid Part IIas enemies of Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki “Pat” Morita) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). However, both Sato and Chozen were redeemed. The elder Toguchi mended his ways at the end ofThe Karate Kid Part II,while Chozen emerged as a new man and a friend to Daniel-san inCobra Kaiseason 3.
Cobra Kaiseason 6, part 1 ended with Chozen returning to Okinawa to win the heart of Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita). But Chozen was crestfallen when it seemed Kumiko found a lover, so he joined Daniel and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) at theSekai Taikai tournamentin Barcelona, Spain.
