Call of Duty: Modern Warfarereceives updates on a weekly basis, regularly adding a slew of new content to the game. Like other live service games that are updated frequently,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis prone to bugs. Luckily, Infinity Ward is quick to address many of the bugs plaguing the game, with fixes in the works for two that are especially frustrating the community.
One bug inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis impactingGround War mapsspecifically. SomeCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers have reported spawning in bizarre locations on maps like Aniyah Palace and Downtown. Oftentimes these locations give players an unfair advantage and others accuse them of cheating, even though this was not their fault. Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, Joe Cecot, has acknowledged this bug and said the team is “looking into it.”

Another bug that’s been plaguingCall of Duty: Modern Warfarehas to do with the Season 3 claymore challenge. There is a challenge as part ofModern WarfareSeason 3that tasks players with getting 20 claymore kills, but it’s bugged. Many players are reporting that the game is not properly tracking their claymore kills, which makes it impossible for them to properly complete the challenge.
Joe Cecot has acknowledged this particular bug in the game as well, indicating that a fix is actively in the works. It’s unclear if this fix will account forclaymore killsearned while the bug was active, or if players will have to start at square one, but either way, many would argue that it’s better than not being able to complete the challenge at all.
At the time of this writing, it’s unclear exactly when these bug fixes will be released forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. SinceInfinity Wardreleases a newCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdate on a weekly basis, it’s possible that these bugs will be squashed with next week’s update. Alternatively, it may be weeks before the bug fixes are rolled out. Fans will just need to keep an eye on upcomingModern Warfarepatch notes to be sure.
