Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, while it has been a step up from part 1 in many ways, still has had some moments that fans found disappointing. However, one of the biggest ones was just resolved and turned from a disappointing moment to one fans can look forward to learning the truth about it later in the series.
In chapter #15 ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortex, Kawaki and Boruto meet again, and instead of fighting, they have a talk about what is happening and the aftermath of the attack on Konoha. While the biggest thing to come out of their discussion was an alliance to take down Jura and the God Trees, another huge bombshell that was dropped was thatBoruto couldn’t use Karma because Momoshiki almost took overthe last time he did.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s Biggest Fight Yet Was Skipped, Leaving Fans Disappointed
The Manga Will Show The Full Fight Eventually
This happened when Boruto and Sasuke were attacked by Code and his soldiers, and although Sasuke told him to run away, Boruto must’ve leaped back into action, but Momoshiki interfered. This revelation has some interesting consequences, one of which is that it reveals Boruto really didn’t attempt to run. When the chapter was released, fans were seemingly upset that Boruto left Sasuke to fight Codeand multiple enemies by himself, especially now that Sasuke didn’t have his Rinnegan and wasn’t as powerful. This new chapter shows that Boruto defied his master’s orders to try and save him.
However, the biggest consequence is that Momoshiki is an even bigger threat than he ever was. While the Karmafication process was halted when Momoshiki revived Boruto, there is still the threat of him taking over when Boruto is low on chakra. And now, there is another opportunity for Momoshiki to possess him when Boruto uses his Karma or when it’s subconsciously awakened, due to the resonance with Kawaki’s Karma.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Reveals a Sinister Truth About Its New Strongest Villains
The latest villains appearing in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex are a complicated threat, with ominous implications about where they’ll appear next.
While every time Momoshiki took over Boruto was devastating and caused mayhem, his possession of Boruto will now be even worse.Momoshiki can use Boruto’s jutsu, so if he were to emerge, he’d be able to useBoruto’s new arsenal of techniques, such as Rasengan Uzuhiko and Flying Thunder God, which would be devastating, to say the least. Furthermore, Momoshiki is a master at chakra control, so he would easily make these attacks much more destructive. Boruto is currently one of the strongest ninjas alive, and if he were to go berserk, no one could stop him.

Boruto and Sasuke vs Code Wasn’t Shown For a Reason
The Full Flashback Will Be Revealed In Due Time
The flashback to how Sasuke was caught in a tree was disappointing, to say the least. It felt very short and anti-climatic, especially given how important the fight was and how much respect Sasuke deserved in the story. However, this is intentional and serves a purpose as shown in the recent chapter. The reveal that Boruto was unable to use his Karma in the fight means that the series isn’t done showing the full flashback to Sasuke’s final fight.
It will also be interesting to see how Sasuke fights, given he has lost his biggest strength. Although he still has his Mangekyo Sharingan and access to more chakra, since his Rinnegan used to deplete his chakra very fast, he will very likely put up a good fight. Most of all, seeingBoruto and Sasuke fight side-by-sidefor the first time would be a great moment. Despite the odds being against him, this battle will most likely not be very one-sided. Sasuke was responsible for slashing one of Code’s eyes, which means that he held his own against him despite the huge difference in power levels.

Boruto’s Biggest Mystery Is Still Momoshiki’s Role
Momoshiki Is Plotting Something Sinister
On top of Boruto being unable to use Karma for fear of losing control, he also reveals thatMomoshiki has been silent for three years. This is really ominous, as not only are Momoshiki and Boruto’s thoughts intertwined, but Momoshiki has always been talkative and antagonized Boruto a lot. The fact that he has been quiet this long can only mean he is planning something and biding his time, waiting for the opportunity to strike. As someone who has been alive for centuries, few are as patient as him.
WhileJura is the current main villainand Kawaki is being set up as the next antagonist, Momoshiki is possibly the most dangerous one of them all. He is by far the most ruthless of the three and possibly as powerful as Jura. He is also persistent and, even after Boruto refuses to give up hope, he is still planning something. What his plans are and what his role is in the story is shrouded in mystery, but Momoshiki’s return to the manga will be one of the most chaotic events in the series.

Boruto Is Gradually Ending A Lot Of Criticisms
Each chapter of the series continues to resolve fans' criticisms and doubts. How Boruto became powerful quickly was explained, the effects of Omnipotence are seen in action, Sarada’s role increased, the reason for Kawaki’s powerlessnesswas revealed, and now it’s been shown that there is a good reason why the flashback of Sasuke vs Code was so short. Hopefully, the series will continue this trend and solve other issues likeCode’s continued streak of losses.
