Nobody 2is officially on the way, and while the firstNobodywas already easy to compare toJohn Wick, the second one is even more so. 2021’sNobodyimmediately drew a lot of comparisons toJohn Wickupon its release, with it being created byJohn Wickcreator Derek Kolstad. AlthoughNobodyandJohn Wickhave no official in-universe connections,Nobody 2has already made it a lot harderto disassociate the two franchises.
Screen Rantis at CinemaCon 2025, and while all kinds of movies have been featured so far,Nobody 2is one of the highlights. The first trailer forNobody 2was shown at CinemaCon 2025, and while the trailer hasn’t been released publicly yet, descriptions of the footage have. These descriptions make the highly-anticipated sequel seem like a worthy follow-upto the original film, although one moment does seem far too similar toJohn Wick.

According to theNobody 2CinemaCon 2025 trailer, the film will see Bob Odenkirk’s Hutch Mansell go on vacation with his family, with the mainNobodycharacters spending time at an amusement park. While there, Hutch gets into a violent altercation, one that quickly spins out of control. One of the most interesting parts of theNobody 2trailer is an action scene that takes place in a hall of mirrors. Here is a full description of the trailer:
The footage begins with Bob Odenkirk in an elevator. He asks, “You guys have fun at the convention?” Then he starts fighting everyone in the elevator. We then see him with his family. They decide to go on a family trip to an amusement park. While there, someone bullies his daughter and slaps her on the back of the head. Odenkirk separates from his family, goes back into the park, and beats up the people who bullied his daughter. Because of that, the cops come and Odenkirk gets discovered. It turns out he’s in the middle of something nefarious going on. “Guys I’m not gonna fight ya. I’m on vacation,” he says to a group of thugs, who then attack him. There’s a whole action sequence in a hall of mirrors. “I told you I’m on f*cking vacation,” he exclaims as he beats someone up.

Although the hall of mirrors scene is cool, it is way too close to a mirror hallway fight scene fromJohn Wick: Chapter 2. IfNobody 2wants to stop the comparisons toJohn Wick, using one of the sequel’s best scenes in its sequel isn’t the way to go, as it makesNobody 2seem like it is retreading the same ground.
Many fans of theJohn Wickfranchise don’t know thatJohn Wick: Chapter 2’s mirror fight scene was actually a homage to a different action movie.John Wick: Chapter 2was recreating a similar scene from the iconic martial arts movieEnter the Dragon, and it did so in a fantastic way.

John Wick: Chapter 5 - Confirmation & Everything We Know
Despite being confirmed, John Wick: Chapter 5 is one of the most mysterious - and uncertain - upcoming movies, as the John Wick 5 news so far shows.
This fact onlyraises the stakes forNobody 2, as it not only has to live up to theJohn Wick: Chapter 2scene, but also the originalEnter the Dragonscene. If it manages to pull the mirror scene off, then this will be incredible. However, if it doesn’t, then manyNobody 2fans will wonder why the sequel took the risk.
