Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Venomverse Reborn #1!WhileBlack Widowis easily one of the deadliest people on Earth, it seems absurd to consider that she’d be able to killThor. Thor is the God of Thunder and the All-Father, after all, who has access to power that once proved strong enough to kill Galactus. However, as unbelievable as it may sound, Black Widow has come up with a way to get the job done in an incredibly dark (but smart) way.
InVenomverse Reborn#1 “Host” by Benjamin Percy and Brian Level, Eddie Brock peers into the multiverse to give fans a look at a world where Venom is without a host, leading to anintense murder-mystery involving every core member of the Avengers. When Captain America comes across a strange meteorite, he finds himself possessed by Venom, who eats Steve Rogers from the inside out before inhabiting Black Widow.

As Black Widow,Venom takes out the rest of the Avengers, including Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor. Just like with Captain America, Venom consumes Thor, reducing him to a bloody pulp that even the Hulk is horrified to see. In this story, it’s clear that the only thing responsible for these murders was Venom, not the Avengers the symbiote inhabited. However, the fact remains that Venom was inhabiting Black Widow for most of these kills, and proves to be the perfect weapon that Natasha could use to kill the Avengers in Earth-616.
Marvel Proved that Black Widow Can Weaponize Venom to Kill the Avengers
Black Widow is a Master of Every Weapon, Including Symbiotes
Black Widow’s status as a master assassin means she can weaponize anything to eliminate a target. That’s why she’s an Avenger, despite having no superpowers or high-tech armor. Black Widow committed her life to becoming the deadliest person alive, even if it was a life that was forced upon her. In her hands, anything is a weapon, and she can wield any weapon masterfully - and there’s arguably no greater weapon than a symbiote.
A symbiote would be terrifying in the hands of Black Widow.

Symbiotes have the power to turn regular people into nearly invincible powerhouses. Eddie Brock is a perfect example, as he was just a disgraced journalist before he bonded with the Venom symbiote and eventually became powerful enough to kill and then replace a literal god. So, imagine how terrifying a symbiote would be in the hands of Black Widow. This issue is a solid preview of the carnage she could unleash upon weaponizing a symbiote, but the really scary thought is that she could do the same thing in Earth-616 right now if she wanted to.
Black Widow Currently Has Her Own Symbiote in Earth-616: Widow
Black Widow Could Slaughter the Avengers as Widow if She Wanted to
It’s been established that Black Widow is an expert with any weapon, including the ultimate weapon: symbiotes. Readers saw that in action inVenomverse Reborn, but that was against Black Widow’s will, and merely showed how she could kill the Avengers with a symbiote. But right now in Marvel canon,Black Widow actually has the power to do so with her Widow symbiote. That point is driven home inBlack Widow: Venomous#1, which showed Black Widow training her symbiote (which named itself “Sliver”) to become as independently deadly as she is, making Sliver the perfect ‘suit’ during combat situations.
SHIELD’s Newest Symbiote Asset Could be the Next Agent Venom
SHIELD’s newest symbiote asset has bonded with the organization’s greatest super spy to create an agent unparalled at stealth and subterfuge.
Black Widow has always been deadly, but with a symbiote in her arsenal, she has the power to kill a literal god like Thor. That was proven inVenomverse Reborn, and if the God of Thunder ever steps out of line, fans know that she could do it again in Earth-616 with Venomous. Using a symbiote to eatThorfrom the inside out is horrifically dark, but it’s also incredibly smart, and further confirms just how deadlyBlack Widowreally is.
