This wall can also be broken by using the Headbutt spirit skill of theWandering Wight optional boss inBlack Myth: Wukongseen early in Chapter 1.

Yellow Loong is just ahead of the Shrine, awaiting your arrival with a variety of lightning attacks channeled through a massive glaive. you may use the Shrine you just discovered to backtrack or teleport somewhere else to farm Will or craft materials needed to grow stronger before facing this final Yaoguai King.

How To Prepare For Yellow Loong

Have Spells Ready And Shock-Resistant Items

Like the other Loong boss fights, Yellow Loonguses electric attacks to inflict the Shock conditiononto you throughout the battle. Being afflicted with Shock causes you to take more damage from incoming strikes until it is cured. Unlike Poison or Burn, you don’t lose health passively, but instead take far more damage from any hit Yellow Loong manages to hit on you.

Since the boss already does ridiculous damage without Shock, getting the condition is a death sentence. Youneed to stock up on Shock healing items, such asShock-Quelling Powderyou can consume to recover from the status effect. Alternatively, you couldupgrade your Gourd inBlack Myth: Wukongto make your drinks and soaks heal Shock in addition to restoring part of your health.

The Monkey King from Black Myth: Wukong.

By this point in the game, you should also have unlocked the ability to craft Celestial Medicines with the NPC Xu Dog. Through this character, you can permanently upgrade your Shock resistance to make sure the condition doesn’t build up fast.

Yellow Loong is likely to be unlocked after you have made it into Chapter 3 or 4, so you should have plenty of spells for his boss battle. For example, Immobilize is a reliable way to freeze Yellow Loong out of his strongest attacks. Other magic or transformations will be potent against the boss too, as long as youmanage your Mana wisely inBlack Myth: Wukongduring the fight.

How To Defeat Yellow Loong

Watch For Patterns And Punish Openings

The Yellow Loong fight can be divided into two phases, with the second one starting when the boss reaches around 50% health.Every one of Yellow Loong’s attacks is imbued with lightning, sobe prepared for AoE extensions to normal strikes. The glaive wielded by Yellow Loong has incredible reach but falters slightly at close range, sotry to remain near Yellow Loong when you may.

As you can see in the above video by YouTube creatorBrokenGamezHDR, the best opportunities for you to deal damage against Yellow Loong is after performing a Precise Dodge and at the end of the boss' attacks.

Thankfully, Yellow Loong doesn’t have many moves, but the ones he does have are deadly. This enemy has more health and damage than most bosses you encounter in the story, sostay aggressiveand be prepared to heal at the right times. Out of all the attacks in Yellow Loong’s arsenal, these are the ones you should plan to recognize the most:

How To Counter

Lightning Stab

Yellow Loong charges his weapon with lightning before stabbing forward suddenly in a straight line toward you.

Dodge to the side as you see the boss lunge. Do not dodge forward, as you will be caught in the line of lightning left behind by Yellow Loong.

Thunder Slam

Jumping into the air, Yellow Loong levitates for a moment before slamming his glaive into the ground where you stand.

Dodge forward to get behind the boss as they slam their weapon down. Do not dodge to the side, as the impact causes a small AoE in which you can get caught.

Charge Burst

Yellow Loong plants their glaive in the ground, charging it with lightning before releasing the discharge in a large AoE attack.

Run away as you see the boss plant the weapon to avoid the AoE burst.

Triple Lightning Glaive Combo

Slamming his glaive into the ground, Yellow Loong performs a series of flips, quickly hitting his weapon into the earth two more times.

Dodge the initial slam, then dodge the next two with the right timing. Each slam has a small AoE, so it may take some trial and error to determine which direction to dodge each strike.

Sweeping Thunder

Yellow Loong swings his weapon in a large arc, causing lightning to linger and explode after a short duration.

Roll forward into the boss from the initial sweep to get close and avoid the lingering AoE burst.

Yellow Loong only has one extra move in his second phase, a modified version of Thunder Slam and Lightning Stab. When floating in the air, the boss dashes multiple times before finishing the attack chain with an AoE slam on the ground where you stand. you’re able to dodge each of these strikes once you see the boss levitating while crackling with electricity within this phase.
