One of the more tricky weapons to master inMonster Hunter Wildsis the Bow, a tool whose combos are very fast-paced and difficult to execute for first-time players. Since every attack from a Bow drains your Stamina, it’s hard to know which moves chain together best without exhausting your hunter. Thankfully, there are plenty of tricks with the Bow that create natural combos to help you on every hunt.

The Bow is not thehardest weapon to use inMonster Hunter Wilds, but it does have plenty of quirks. For starters, the Bow has a Trick Arrow Gauge that you fill by landing attacks. As this Gauge fills up, you can expend parts of it to load special Coatings that buff your arrows or Tracer shots that cause your next projectiles to home in on parts of a monster.

Dash Dancing Combo

Shoot Arrows And Move Quickly

Returning from past games, theDash Dance combo is still the most efficient technique of the Bowas you learn to use it. Dash Dancing utilizes the Charging Sidestep move, a technique where you can quickly dodge an incoming monster attack. However, instead of using this Sidestep defensively, I’ve found that this combo encourages you to use it on offense instead, moving toward or away from a monster after unleashing a fast burst of damage.

Performing a perfectly timed Charging Sidestep will automatically fill one-third of your Bow’s Trick Arrow Gauge. If this happens in a Dash Dance combo, try to load a Tracer arrow in the middle of it by spending part of the Gauge to guarantee that your other shots hit your target by homing onto the Tracer.
