InAbsolute Batman #4by Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, and Gabriel Hernández Walta, Bruce is just starting out as Batman and after nearly shooting someone, he recalls his father’s words and decides to be a better hero. He decides to interrupt a shipment of drugs and guns and stakes out several trucks transporting the merchandise.
Utilizing an RC car that’s been modified with a powerful motor and a bottle jack, Absolute Batman’s miniature ‘Batmobile’ easily causes the trucks to crash. The drivers don’t even have time to figure out what’s going on before the Dark Knight knocks them all out.

Who Needs a Full-Sized Car with Gadgets Like This?
When Darkseid’s death usheredin the Absolute Universe, Batman’s operation got a lot harder. Unlike the Prime Universe Bruce Wayne, the Absolute variant didn’t have the privilege of immense wealth. Here, he became a civil engineer and spent years studying his city to prepare for his war on crime. Thankfully, he’s still got a brilliant mind, and even designed a Batsuit with numerous hidden assets, such as knives hidden in his cowl and his large symbol that doubles as an ax head. He may not have much, butAbsolute Batman makes do with what he has to keep Gotham safe.
What’s even cooler about this teeny Batmobile was that this was one of Absolute Batman’s very first gadgets, and he built it all for under $1000. While this Batman variant would later get a Batmobile that was just as big as one would expect of the beefy Dark Knight, what he created here was a much better display of his ingenuity. Absolute Batman doesn’t have the safety nets that his doppelgänger from the Prime Universe does, so he has to be smart about how he fights crime. But with gadgets like these,Absolute Batman proves he has what it takes.

Is Batman at a disadvantage compared to the Prime Bruce? Sure. But he’s not balking at the challenge ahead of him. Yeah, a sleek and weaponized Batmobile could probably disrupt an illegal shipment much more easily than an RC car. But Absolute Batman’s greatest strength is his ability to work within his means and, by really thinking outside the box, he’s made one of the best damn Batmobiles that either version of the DC Universe has ever seen. With creative gadgets like this, there’s no doubt that Gotham is safe in the creative hands of theAbsolute Batman.
