Those who want to collect items inAvowedas they traverse the map will want to find theEarthy Aegis treasure. It is a little harder to collect than some of the others in the region, so you will have to pay attention to get to it. There are many things to consider when you do as wellbecause the enemies won’t be forgiving as you work to find both themapand the treasure.
There are a lot ofcollectibles inAvowed, and some are harder to find than others. Thevarious shards are the hardest to find generally, but this particular treasure is hard to get your hands on. However, you can do so without much trouble if you follow afew key steps.

Earthy Aegis Clue Explained
What The Clue You Get Means
The clue for the Earthy Aegis treasure can be found in theNaku Tedek area of Emerald Stairs. The issue with getting there is that, depending on the route you take, it might lead you past a couple of hard Bounty sites. These are quite tough if you have just entered the region, and you will want to avoid themuntil your gear has been upgraded closer to the +3 “Fine”quality.
Avowed Not Being Open-World Is The Right Call, & Story Choices Prove It
Avowed allows players to explore its maps freely, but it is not one connected open world. However, this is a huge benefit for the game’s story.
There is a cleaner way into the region, using one of the bridges. Once you get there, activate the arda to save your progressand then go to the left and toward the tents set up. You are looking for a building with a root leading toward it and an open window. This jump was hard for me to make. I had tosprint and jump at the very last secondto make it to the opening, so if you don’t make it the first time, don’t be surprised.

Once inside, you just have to open the treasure chest to collect the mapand keep going. The clue you get isn’t super clear. There are no big landmarks, just a lot of trees and the final destination in the corner. However, you will want tohead in the general direction of Tama’s Cabin, which is a quest given to you by Kai once you reach the area. You canuse that quest as a markerto get you most of the way there.
Earthy Aegis Treasure Chest Location
Where To Find The Treasure On The Map
From Tama’s Cabin, you will want tohead west toward the location on the map above. It’s not far, but the trip is full of enemies. You will need to be careful. You can also backtrack a little andapproach the site from a little further south, which may be your best bet.
If you go directly west, you will pass through the area just below the final destination; many enemies will likely have more than one skull beside their name tag.

However, you are looking for the ruin in the clue image, and it is resting on top of the cliff overlooking the camp full of enemies. I will say that there was a very similar ruin located right next to the Ranger’s Tower, and it was not the same ruin. There is also an Arda nearly right next to the ruin you are looking for.It is the Wildwoods Plateau Party Camp, and if you move directly north from it, you will get to the cabin without any trouble.
Once there, look for a root wrapping around the right side of the building. Follow it until it ends by a window, and look for a switch right beneath the window. It was hard to spot, but you have tohit the switch to open the door. Return to the front of the ruin, and you will find the treasure chest inside, completing the quest.

Earthy Aegis Rewards
What Your Hard Work & Effort Get You
The reward is theNature’s Ward Shield, which is a unique item. You can see its stats in the table below.

20
220

30
Purging
50% chance to remove the Poisoned Status
It’s a fairly good shield, especially at this point in the game. I was playing aRanger/Wizard buildfor the most part, so I didn’t have a lot of use for the shield itself. However, I would find it useful ifI wanted to use a more elemental-focused build, with a ring that rewards more Poison damage and a sword that also does elemental damage, allowing for many status effects at once.

However, there are still a lot of treasure items to pick up in Avowed, many of which are well within the player’s grasp and can do a lot of good. Be sure to collect this treasure and continue to find even more inAvowed.
