Kit Walker was one of the inmates of Briarcliff Manor in the second season ofAmerican Horror Story. His story focused mainly around aliens and alien abductions. However, whenAmerican Horror Storymade a season all about aliens, subtitledDeath Valley, Kit wasn’t even mentioned. The storyline surrounding theDeath Valley alienshad a lot of correlations with the aliens fromAsylum, and it’s common knowledge thatevery season ofAmerican Horror Storyis linkedtogether somehow. Given this connection,Death Valley’s failure to revisit Kit’s story seems like a major missed opportunity.
Both seasons focused around alien abductions and pregnancies, yet the seasons didn’t relate or make reference to each other whatsoever. For many viewers, it seemed like such a waste to have a full 4-episode season all about aliens without referencing what had happened beforehand. The decision left many open questions about the show, such aswhat happened to Kit Walker when he was abductedby aliens and whether thealiens inDeath Valleythe same fromAsylum. Not addressing these issues when there was such an obvious opportunity seems like an oversight from two ofAHSmost interconnected stories.

Kit Walker Was Abducted By Aliens In AHS: Asylum But Wasn’t Mentioned At All In Death Valley
Kit’s storyline inAsylumwas pretty complicated. First his wife, Alma, was abducted by aliens, and then his girlfriend. When they both returned, they were pregnant. After they gave birth, there wasn’t much extraterrestrial activity until Kit was nearing death, when the aliens came back to Earth to take him away, never to be seen again. WhenDeath Valleywas announced to be a season all about aliens,it was assumed that the season would focus on any unanswered questions surrounding Kit, such as why he was abducted at the end ofAsylumand what happened to him.
As the women in Kit’s life were abducted and soon returned to Earth pregnant, this would have been the perfect opportunity to bring back Kit…

It wasn’t just Kit that wasn’t mentioned, nothing that happened at all during the events ofAsylumwere mentioned inDeath Valley. This made no sense in terms ofDeath Valleyas a season. The season was all about aliens abducting and impregnating humans to try and create the perfect human-alien hybrid. As the women in Kit’s life were abducted and soon returned to Earth pregnant, this would have been the perfect opportunity to bring back Kit and fully explain his storyline.
American Horror Story Season 10’s Ending Complicates The Outcome Of Asylum
Forgetting About The Aliens In Asylum Created Lots Of Plotholes In Death Valley
At the end ofAsylum, the aliens allow Kit to live a long, peaceful life on Earth before abducting him and saving him from death. Without returning to this plot point inDeath Valley, it complicatesAsylum’sending.Viewers have no idea why Kit was abducted by aliens, why he was so special or why it was his wife and girlfriend that were abducted inAsylum. The subplot just creates more questions than it answers, and it feels like it lacks depth and explanation.
Why American Horror Story Season 10’s Pale People Aren’t The Same As Season 5’s Vampires
American Horror Story season 10’s Pale People are not the same vampires as the ones that appear in the show’s fifth season, despite some similarities.
Kit had two children inAsylumas both Alma and Grace were pregnant when the aliens released them. These children just grew up and lived their lives like nothing happened. However, inDeath Valley, the aliens would kill any children that weren’t the perfect human-alien hybrid species. Therefore, the survival of Kit’s children made no sense at the end ofAmerican Horror Storyseason 2,unless the show planned on bringing them back at some point. Ultimately, it didn’t make sense for the show to have a story about aliens and ignore all the extra-terrestrial events that happened before it.
