AcrossTaylor Sheridan’s eight TV shows, 22 actors have had roles in multiple projects, and some even started working with the acclaimed writer when he made films. Taylor Sheridan is responsible for some of thebest shows on Paramount+, and some of the most successful shows in television right now. From the massive franchiseYellowstoneto recent hits likeLandman, which set streaming records with its premiere, Sheridan’s popularity has only grown with each new project he creates. Even as he grows in fame, however, Sheridan remembers the people who helped get him there.
From massive movie stars like Demi Moore and Jeremy Renner to up-and-coming actors like Jacob Lofland and Isabel May, Sheridan’s shows owe a lot to the casts that made them up. Sheridan clearly understands how important actors are to a show’s success, and he’s asked 22 of them to take roles in at least two of his shows. 22Taylor Sheridan
Yellowstone, Lioness, 1883
Probably the most noticeable recurring actor in Taylor Sheridan’s shows is Taylor Sheridan himself.Sheridan has given himself cameos inYellowstoneas Travis Wheatley, in1883as Charles Goodnight, and inLionessas Cody Spears. He also had a cameo appearance in one of his movies,Hell or High Water, where he appeared as a cowboy. Additionally, if theupcomingYellowstonespinoff6666ever comes to fruition, it will heavily feature the ranch Sheridan owns in real life.
21Domenick Lombardozzi
Tulsa King, Yellowstone
Domenick Lombardozzi doesn’t seem like a recurring Taylor Sheridan actor, but that’s only because his first role was so small. Before he played Chickie Invernizzi, one of the primary antagonists of Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi inTulsa King, Lombardozzi had an unnamed role as a masked assailant inYellowstoneseason 2, episode 7. Obviously, Lombardozzi is much more well known for being part of thecast ofTulsa Kingas well as other action shows likeReacher.
20Barry Corbin
Barry Corbin has been acting in Western roles for decades, so it makes sense that Sheridan would cast him in two of his most Western shows.InYellowstoneseason 4, Corbin plays Ross, a seasoned ranch hand at the four sixes, and inTulsa Kingseason 1, he played Mitch Keller’s (Garrett Hedlund) relative Babe. Interestingly, Corbin’s and Sheridan’s filmographies lined up long before the latter began writing, though their paths didn’t actually cross. Both Corbin and Sheridan appeared as actors in episodes of Chuck Norris’Walker, Texas Ranger; Corbin in 1999 and Sheridan in 1995.
19Dave Annable
Lioness, Yellowstone
Dave Annable is one of the original cast members ofYellowstone, and he played one of the most forgotten Dutton siblings.InYellowstoneseason 1 - as well as one episode in season 4 - Annable played Lee Dutton, and inLioness, he starred as Joe’s (Zoe Saldaña) husband, Neal. Despite being killed off early inYellowstone, Annable’s relationship with Sheridan clearly paid off in the long run.
18Gratiela Brancusi
1883, Mayor of Kingstown
Gratiela Brancusi hasn’t starred in one of Sheridan’s shows, but she has had fairly prominent roles in two of them.Brancusi played Neomi in1883, and she also plays Tatiana Sonovitchka inMayor of Kingstown. Brancusi’s collaborations with Sheridan are actually her only credits as an actor, so their partnership has been incredibly important to her career.
17Michael Beach
Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King
Michael Beach is one of the few actors Taylor Sheridan consistently casts who have not yet appeared inYellowstoneor one of its spinoffs.Beach has only appeared in original shows likeMayor of Kingstown, where he stars as Captain Moore, and inTulsa King, where he plays Mark Mitchell, Tyson’s (Jay Will) father. Beach’s work with Sheridan is far from his only source of employment, however, as he’s had a very active 2024 with appearances in shows likeS.W.A.T.,Dead Boy Detectives,The Perfect Couple, and more.
16Graham Greene
1883, Tulsa King
Graham Greene has only appeared in two of Sheridan’s TV shows, but he had a prominent role in one of his movies: he played Ben, chief of the reservation police, inWind River. As for Sheridan’s shows, Greene played Spotted Eagle in1883, and he had a cameo as Old Smoke inTulsa King. Greene’s appearance inTulsa Kingsaw him deliver the hilarious “Da White Man, Freddy” line to Sylvester Stallone’s character, Dwight Manfredi.
15Stephanie Nur
Lioness, 1883
Like many of Taylor Sheridan’s favorite actors, Stephanie Nur began her relationship with the writer with a cameo appearance.Nur appeared in two episodes of1883as Melodi, one of the prostitutes at the bar, and later had a starring role as Aaliyah Amrohi inLioness. 14LaMonica Garrett
1883, Lioness
Like Stephanie Nur,LaMonica Garrett has appeared in two of Taylor Sheridan’s shows:1883, where he played Thomas, andLioness, where he played Tucker.
