An announcement fromLEGOhas revealed that an official collaboration with the fan-favorite anime series,One Piece, is in the works. For years, LEGO has made a name for itself as the definitive crossover toy with numerous IPs teaming up with them over the years. FromMarvel’s X-Mento Harry Potter, there have been countless collaborations to bring out the kid in any LEGO fan. Now, the toy company is taking on the world of anime with its latest crossover.

According toan official press release from LEGO, the massive toy corporation has struck a deal with Netflix to create a series of Lego sets inspired by the legendary manga series by Eiichiro Oda. Lena Dixen, the Senior Vice President for Core Businesses, expanded on this announcement by detailing her excitement for the crossover:

“This is a truly special collaboration. For the first time, LEGO play and the exciting world of anime meet. Building the world of ONE PIECE, as depicted in the Netflix live action adaptation, in LEGO brick form has been such an exciting challenge and I couldn’t be more excited for fans to experience the new adventures this ONE PIECE collaboration will bring them for the first time”

While details on what construction sets will be available isn’t known yet, fans of the series will get to enter the world ofOne Piecelike never before later this year.
